Figured we needed a thread for this.
Here's a blurb on Bell from CBS..
Analysis: Bell's future -- healthwise and depth-chart wise -- is a mess. He cannot be considered a starter and may be waiver-wire bound.
I assume by "waiver wire" they meant fantasy-wise. (Pulled it from the fantasy page.)
Any news on how Anderson/Bailey are doing after a full game? Looks like we have a chance of going into this Monday night fairly healthy...?

News: Broncos RB Tatum Bell sprained his ankle while playing on special teams against the Chargers in Week 2. He did not play the rest of the game.

You wont believe this...but I think Ron should be starting this week and I am disappointed Shanny is saying MA is still the starter.
Shanny is on crack.... This is the only explanation I can think of.

Dayne should start...Period. He is the only 100% RB right now. All this crap about players need to step in and make plays, well mike he did and he is ready. If he falters than MA/Bell are there. If he succeeds....well who is going to be mad about that???

I agree 100%. I'm so pissed right now, that Shannny named Anderson the starter this week. It's like a slap in the face to Dayne. But that could be a good thing, to motivate him for "if" he does touch the ball this week he'll make something happen for sure.

Hell do not listen to the BS Shanny spins. MA was starter @indy only to see Q get 20+ carries. I wouldnt come out and name the starter at all, let KC prepare for MA.

I actually agree. Shanahan didn't want to say who the return guy would be for the Miami game. That's not information that would really give a team an edge over you. Shanny likes disinformation...though I'm willing to bet Anderson starts.

My guess is that if MA is not effective on the first drive, we will see Dayne or Bell. This is a huge game and if he knew that dayne would perform as well as he did, I think we would have seen him sooner against the Chargers.

I adopted Bell last year, so I'll have to stick with him. I don't kick my kids out in the street every year. :) (If it was Lelie, I would.)

Agreed MA will start, but i wouldnt be surprised to a see a switch very early in the game if he doesnt run well.

Amazing. In Shanahan's Monday press conference only Bell's name came up regarding injury. Sounds like he has a good chance of being ready, too. <knocks on big wood>

Can't figure out of you're smart enough to be serious about that statement.
You should be. (Serious) Bell is much more in the Portis mode, and we've seen what backs with speed can do to your "defense." (Griffin, Portis)
I hope Shanahan gives the kid a few carries this weekend. It'll be hysterical watching those Chefs defenders chasing him from behind.

I'm serious. He scares me. Keep him off the field, Shamaplan.

I read that Shanny expects Dayne to play more this AM. It sounds like the competition may be opening up a bit:
"Everybody's going to get a chance to play some," Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said. "I can't tell you exactly what our plan is. We have to decide it ourselves."

I'm not huge on the RBC thing, but we might be in a situation where we need to start plugging guys in and going with the hot hand. Honestly, I'm not impressed with Anderson's effort so far... but I know he's hurt. I love the guy as a Bronco, he just doesn't seen to be hitting the hole fast enough. Or... maybe they're just not there.
It almost seemed like Dayne picked his spot and got there more quickly than MA was on Sunday. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

REP! MA was slow to the hole, Dayne was hitting it fast & getting 3 extra yards per carry over MA's 2ypc. The hole was closing before MA got there & he was geting hit at line & lucky to get 2ypc. I think we may see Q catch a few out of the backfield this week if he is active.

That would be true except that MA and Dayne have pretty much the same running style. If he planned on starting Bell then I would believe that.
