Its an unneccesary risk that could be setting your child up for failures that cost him and confuse him. If Daddy thinks that its okay and Teacher sends him to the principal's office, you are setting the child up for possible antisocial tendencies. Antisocial behavior is the seed of criminal behavior. Maybe I should have worded it better, but I don't hit or beat the hell out of my kids. They get a spanking or whoppin as I call it with my belt. Usually two licks. Which come to think of it, I haven't had to spank them in nearly 6 months now.

Naw not realy , sometimes all a person understands is a left hook to the chops .. you can only reason with a person that wants to reason , others you have to hit , I dont make the rules .....
I dont think that that is a good answer to a problem. There are other ways out.

Could be any of number of influences that brought that type of behavior out of you. I wouldnt correlate that with strict parenting alone. There are other variables.
yeah the mendez brothers had great parents.

I don't hit my kids. I discipline them. There is a big difference. And actually my kids are very respectfull for their age. But since you think to know more about the subject being that you are a proud parent.................wait
Are you saying they are more respectable than the kids down the street who don't get beat? Your parental ego is pretty large, I won't tell you how to run your kids life, because there is no wrong way, (Unless physical and mental abuse accure).

A woman ...point is I grew up in very strict house , when I was able to move out @ the age of 16 , I went wild , if a child is going to get into trouble it hardly starts with flipping the bird , it boils down to choices , I wasnt guilty of attempted murder , but I put myself in that situation ........

Sure buddy...go on attempting to reason something that is completely unreasonable. You sure will look bad against the 10th grade debate team tomorrow.

My mother did the same type of thing. She moved from farmalnd into the city and tried to make it on her own. Really bad situation at home though. Her sister died in their house fire and her Korea vet dad completely fell off the map and fell into the bottle not to come out. It was really bad.

I never said that my kids were better than somebody elses kids. I have my way of disciplining my kids, and it works for me. It is at the point now that they still make new mistakes which I don't punish them for, but they don't repeat mistakes. Both of them are making high scores in school, my oldest is the best reader in his 1st grade class, and so far(knock, knock) they have not been in trouble in school. My way works for me, but may not work for someone else. That is fine. I'm not here trying to get people to be like me. But I still think it is wrong to have your young child pose for the camara flipping a bird. I don't find it the least bit funny like some of you do. Maybe that is because I am a parent trying to raise two kids in this crazy messed up world.

I respect you do it your own way.
I just think there is far worse things to worry about than getting your panties in a bunch over a kid giving the bird.

There was nothing getting in a bunch till you and others started to take our opinion of him being irresponsible to comparing it to not feeding him or murder and saying that we were calling him a bad parent. I mean I can see the caption for that pic.
'Hey son, flip me a bird and tell all KC fans to fúck off while I take your picture' 'click/snap' 'Good job son, here have some candy'
I don't know, it just might be me, but that doesn't seem like a responsible thing to do with your child.

Maybe you should reread it. I didn't go off the handle on the original poster. I called him irresponsible and that was it. The rest of it was between ratboy thinking that I thought my kids were better or that I thought my way was the correct way.

The kid is probably 5 years old. I have a 5 year old cousin who wouldnt have a clue what that meant.
Judging by prior posts of yours, I don't doubt it one bit.

I dont know why there is even a point to arguing this with children who are still under their parents' reign.
There isn't. Children having children is always a tough thing (for both of them).
