Your defense looked pretty bad to me. The Raiders stopped themselves more than the KC defense did. How many touchdowns did the Raiders cost themselves anyway? Two? Three?

Yea, the Fade shot themselves in the foot with penalties on more than one occasion. but, with the Broncos playing as poorly as they are even the lowly chiefs can beat us.

Trent played pretty good, our secondary needs help bad, I was proud of the run D , had a decent pass rush , made a big play when it was needed but could not finish....

I am not happy with losing but I saw some things I liked and saw others I didn't, Lamont must have been excited because he is usually sure handed, then Jano missed again, had a TD stolen from us (thats football) the hold when lamont ran for a td was a good call but basically we got screwed but other than that ... congrats, ..... Denver has nothing for you, your D is better than last year but I don't think it's good enough to win a SB for KC BUT you are a helluva lot better than Denver and SD....

I didn't think you'd been in awhile.

I'm always amazed to hear people bash how loud it gets in our stadium, only to find out they're relying on their television speakers to tell the story. Meanwhile, people who go to the games end up scratching their heads wondering what the hell?

The last three games I've been to over the past three years have been rocking experiences. I couldn't believe it in August when the entire stadium was roaring on third down of a meaningless preseason game against the 9ers. Here it was the fourth quarter, when you'd expect people to be going home, yet the entire stadium was into it. The wave went around the stadium 7 or eight times after that. I was an incredible experience.

The noise at the stadium isn't a problem, that's for sure. The people sitting at home badmouthing it... that's where its getting its repuation from.

Raiders lost that game because of their stupidity, muff punt being the main one Jano missing an easy Jano kick etc.

That is the good thing about Faider fans is you don't have to worry about seeing them October through January.

Moss was running wild deep all late in that game. Collins is a moron. If he just would of thrown it up for grabs, Moss would of snagged it. He's a collossal idiot. The thing about Moss is you never know where he will be. Be simply plays flag football and runs to the open space. You pitch it up and let him adjust to it.

I'm always amazed at the "you didn't beat us, we beat ourselves..." garbage. In all walks of life whether we are talking about football, your career, golf, your relationship with your spouse or whatever not making mistakes is actually more important than doing great things. Yet most people only focus on the great things that are completed as the reality and the bad things are just irrelevant flukes.

An example for golfers....One guy hits a boring 245 yard drive down the middle every time, always hits the green, two putts everything for his par 72. Another guy blasts 320-340 yard drives, reaches all the par 5's in two get his occassional eagle, cards a lot of birdies but always yanks 3 or 4 drives per round in the woods, water or OB and shoots 79. The big swinger will walk away saying Mr Boring didn't beat me I beat myself. Well Mr. Boring had 18 holes of opportunity to "beat himself" also but didn't. Avoiding mistakes is every bit the talent or more so than creating the spectacular. It isn't as exciting so we like to discount it but that doesn't mean it isn't so.

Football is no different. Every team that steps on the field has 4 quarters worth of opportunities to "beat themselves" also and avoiding those mistakes is often times far more important than creating the spectacular a couple times a game.

Ballhawk
09-19-2005, 11:24 AM
Oh you beat the fade, and in one week no one but Fade/Queef fan will remember how. The Fade just make themselves so predictable in crunch time. Jordan rips off runs of 5,10, 6 yards then they throw it 4 times ??? Just dumb playcalling. I dont care and I hope SD and OAK end up 0-3 after next week.

Give me a break. We were without our pro bowl left tackle. The running game obviously suffered and the Raiders run D is CLEARLY improved so give them some credit.

Our passing game was fine, especially for an early season game. I was very pleased. Those 3's will turn into 7's by midseason.
