main weakness is the OL. And were stuck with them all year, so we just have to call plays that helps the OL out, so a lot of 3-step drops and what not.
And the run game needs to be addressed, more dayne/bell and less MA. He just seems to slow.
QB, OL help, Impact HB.
We have to go all offense in this next draft.

I'll have an aswer by week 8.
I think the O line started to play as a unit in the second half. I look for them to be hitting on all 8 next week. Especially the left side.

hey the Pats got beat up today but I guess them being 1-1 means that they are a better team then us right? We have have some problems, pretty much just the right side of the line but its something that can be fixed. We are 1-1 right now only and we have a game with KC next week. We win that we control the divison again. Really its a long year. Teams can lose key guys making the way for us much easier. Its week two long way to go so lets not get ahead of ourselves. One week at a time.

Have to get the running game going. Passing will not open up until we get this figured out. Defenses will continue to bring the house until we get some rushing yards. We need to stick with it until we figure it out. Wouldn't hurt to get the tight ends more involved in the game; also some dump offs to the backs would be nice. Plummer needs to get his timing back - way too many throws behind the receivers.

Technique or personal? Ive hated Dennison since he was our sp teams coach and hate the promoting of coaches inside the organization. I never liked Cooper either and he needs to be replaced asap. but we also need to get someone to replace Nalen in the next couple of years.

Agreed, but Cincy had an insane amount of false starts and various stupid penalties and still put up 37.
I think that Nalen is noticably slipping, I honestly can't say, I didn't get the game for some damn reason. I get three CBS on cable, and sometimes I will get three different games. This time I got to watch Green Bay continue to suck. Guess it's the Favre Factor.
I have heard Coop has really sucked. It's time to get a high pick and stick him in there at guard before we move him to tackle, or something.

Don't forget DL, cause this team still cant get any pressure without blitzing.
Only if that overpaid pos Pryce played up to what he was worth than it would have be different.

more of a powerful HB for 3rd downs. Brandon Jacobs or Duckett mold. a man that can hit a linebacker hard and show him whos game this is.
strength on the line would help, so the pocket wouldnt collapse as fast as it does. But for now, keep the pocket moving. If we cant keep it in one place for long move to the left or right and lets the backs spread the field or run with jake as he scrambles out. just a few ideas

Bench Ferguson for Brandon, bench MA for Dayne/Bell, and start Courtney.

Hamilton or Meyers will replace Nalen. Cooper has been gone about 10 years.
It will be tough to pass up Reggie Bush if he comes out. The kid is the next M. Faulk/R. Watters. He'll be a huge threat for us out of the backfield in our west coast offense.
Then again, Jake has to write a favorable story this season or it might be him on the chopping block this offseason. If he can't do it... do you pass up a franchise QB? I think not.
We need more talent on the OLine plain and simple. This Oline far and away is no where close to the talent that we had on our super bowl teams. We need to improve on Carlisle.

Actually the D-line became dominant once there were allowed to concentrate on just rushing the passer. I think they threw out a lot of that Dropping into coverage BS in the second half. When unleashed this DL is damn good.

To help the OL Denver needs to pass to the RBs more. Pass the ball to Kyle Johnson and the new starter Ron Dayne. Those short swing passes will losen the defense up and slow down the rush.

I haven't read most of this so I appologize if I'm stealing anybody's bites...
First, whatever Coyer did at halftime he needs to do from start to finish for the rest of the year. That especially means having Courtney Brown on the field. I don't know if he turned it up in the 2nd half or if Coyer finally took the reins off...but we looked sick in the 2nd half. Big props to Coyer for making the necessary adjustments. I didn't think he had it in him. If he can maintain the same game plan that he went with in the 2nd half....which was pressure and forcing some turnovers...... I'll get off his ass.
As for the offense. I have no idea. Run behind Lepsis. He knows the deal! Run some Tatum. He may not have the passing game down but he is the biggest homerun threat we have on the offensive side. With our redzone woes we need that possibility on the field as much as possible.
Next year's draft should look like this. #1. QB, #1a. OG, #2. RB, #3 OG.

DeAngelo Williams anybody?
I'm all over it, but we need a QB and an OG first. We can probably land two really good players (potential franchise types) in the first. You can probably find a guy like North Texas' stud in the 2nd round. I can't remember his name right now... Anyhow, it's early for this talk.
I will say that as high as I am on DeAngelo Williams, I'm a lot higher on Lawrence Maroney!!!

If Denver was going to give up on bell I would rather we made a play for Rudi Johnson or Shaun Alexander. Both bigger backs that get it done in the RZ.

Big game, and Denver pulled it out. They should be proud of themselves.
Denver pretty much owned the second half. What I liked is Denver looked confident they were going to win the game, one way or another. Nice game. Very impressive.

But we DID make the mistakes. This isn't golf. There is an opponent forcing you to make mistakes because he is doing his job better than you are.

Why Coyer went back to the base D with 8 mins left wiith a 3 pt lead is goofy. Maybe he fell asleep with his finger on the "base D" button.
