Do you think they have chance against the Queefs? Tait isn't there, and I think we shall see just how good they are without their Probowl OLT...I think Trint is in for a game.

WILLIE ROAF might not play, yes.
It will be interesting, but I'm not too worried about the Raiders pathetic pass rush.

We sacked Green 4 times last year at our place and havent done anything to make the defense worse.

njbil,
I think you guys have a chance. You were good at stopping the run on the pats. You just couldn't cover worth a sh!t. Since the queefs don't have a receiver worth a Craphonso, I think its a toss up.

All this does is highlight that you are missing your best tackles you've had. I'll give you the guards and center, but if burgess is worth a sh!t for the raiders, now is the time for him to have a blow up game.

Considering we had already lost Wall, and Middlebrooks to IR, and were starting Herndon(udfa) and Alexander(udfa + rookie) against you, I think its more of an indictment against our defensive line than our 2ndary.

Queen had 30 seconds to throw the ball in that game, mainly because of Loaf on the left side. Let see if he gets that much time now.

Plus, there is alot of football season left so any of the 4 teams can win the division.

The Chiefs are going to whip the faid for the following reasons.
Roaf out hurts, but Black will be adequate vs an inferior Raider pass rush. 2 TE Sets with Dunn helping block will still allow the Chiefs more than an ample Running game...and when the Raiduhs bring a safety up for support, Green will be able to look to Gonzo abusing one of those DE Converts at OLB or safety who is covering him.....or PA to Parker(who is an upgrade over Morton) or Kennison.....The Chiefs should abuse the Raider D in the intermediate passing and the flats to Holmes and Gonzo.
The Faiduh O has some formidable WRs and a better RB....That I concede...The problem is, I don't think that Oline is going to be able to keep The Blitzing KC LBs from hitting Collins enough, that he thinks he's on Spring Break Circa 2000. Moss can't catch a ball, when Bell and Johnson are using him for a pinata.

We can Bracket Gonzalez with a LB and a safety and still check your wide recievers in man IMO.

Bla Bla Bla... we had a worse defense last year and you essentially won the one game on a kick return to set up a FG 31-30

You guys dont have a Richard Seymour or Vince Wilfork type guy. In fact I'd argue that quite the opposite is true, Saalvi and Dalton are a couple of no talent assclowns.
Rodney Harrison thought he was going to lay the smack down on Moss too.. Moss isn't in the short zones long enough for the LB to make a play on him. That dude eats up ground faster than anyone I've ever seen.
Our OL doesnt have trouble walling off little guys. I hope the Chiefs do blitz a lot. It plays right into our hands.

I watched that game, the Jets moved up and down the field with regualrity.. Pennington (who I think is vastly overrated to begin with) kept going tits up in the red zone.
We sacked Green 4 times and stripped him once in your house with all your starters healthy. Hell even freakin Ted Washington got a sack on Green.

I thought the Jets were going to be bad before the season started.. they're putting in the offense that got McNair killed, with a rag armed quarterback who's injury prone.
On the defensive side of the ball, they're running out an undersized MLB and were hell bent on not signing an adequate NT to keep him clean.

We moved right up and down the field on the Chiefs with 7 rushing attempts in the entire game. Goonthers actually going to have to defend the run this time around.
Your DL is in no way comparible to New Englands, so dont even go there.
Your best DT is a talentless assclown who happens to be injured anyhow.

I still think that Oakland's Defense is going to be a lot stronger than everyone thinks and their offense is going to be surprisingly manageable this season. Lamont Jordan looks like a complete waste of money. Talk about the opposite of a downhill runner. That second guy that went in, whoever he was, shot forward on back to back 7 yard gains. That's the guy they should go with.

That's how he is though, he looks good when he plays in spurts or you need to move the pile, but as an every down guy, he's mediocre.

Pullin' for the Fade all the way here. Roaf is out as is Ryan Sims for the Queefs and Surtain is probably a bit woozy still as he took a good crack. With that kind of concussion its not the best idea to rush back in and I suspect he'll be a little more tentative when sticking his head in there to make a tackle tommorrow.
KC looked good last week, but clearly looked MUCH better than they really were by the ineptitude of Pennington and the Jets.
If Oakland had a real D maybe but this will be tough. Playing in Oakland though is a plus.
Moss needs to play for 60 minutes like it means something though and not jsut get a couple of highlight reel catches before he shuts it down.

I re watched that Jets game.
I'll simply let Phil Simms words with about 3:53 left in the 3rd quarter tell the story, as he said when referring to Mike Heimerdinger's newly installed vertical offense that "the Jets receivers HAVE BEEN WIDE OPEN." Also Sims said with 7:15 left in the 3rd quarter that the Jets were "shooting themselves in the foot ...with a machine-gun," and that most of their problems were of their on doing
Bob's your Information Minister

Well boy, if the Jets receivers were open all day, why didn't Pennington find them? BECAUSE HE WAS ON HIS ASS!
Who has a better offensive line? New York, or Oakland?
New York.
And we didn't even have Surtain for 2 1/2 quarters. That won't happen this week.
