After the bloodbath some Vegas books took last week with the Rams and Broncos games respectively, I'm sure the lines are going to be a bit more strange.
If I was a betting man, I'd take the over on that KC - Fade game big time (assuming its under 50)

O/U is 53 1/2 and the over would probably be a good bet if the number was 60.

I'm concerned about the Chiefs' injuries. 3 of the 4 injuries were to pro bowl players and the fourth, Sims, is probably our weakest depth position.
The one that concerns me most is Roaf. If Roaf doesn't play, our running and passing game is severly hurt. For the last 1.5 years, the Chiefs have only been successfull running to the left side. Defenses know this, but they can't stop it because Roaf and Waters are that dominant. With Roaf out of the picture, they won't be able to run to the left and I don't like having Jordan Black covering Trent's backside. I'm hoping they do as they did in years past and move Shields to LT and put Bober at RG.

I'm not really sure why fans are so confident that KC is just going to go into Oaklnad and beat the Raiders. On the road against a bitter division rival in their home opener is not my idea of a cakewalk. Same with Denver last season. Most Chief fans were confident in that game, but I just couldn't see it. Winning on the road in this division is TOUGH. When two bitter rivals play each other, throw out the records. ANYTHING can happen.

I see the same sort of confidence from SD fans. Many of them look at the game Denver had last week and assume they will play that way again. Teams with homefield advantages like Denver are much tougher at home than on the road. But you go to a SD forumn you can't find one person who is even concerned about not beating Denver. I don't get it. When was the last time they won in Denver?

If you are an AFC West fan this is a good weekend. If you are a Donk or Bolt fan you have the luxury of knowing that at least the Chiefs or the Faiders will lose and if you are a Chiefs or Faider fan you have the luxury of knowing that at least the Bolts or Donks one will drop to 0-2. No matter what happens there is a little bit of a silver lining for everyone.

I definitely can't think of a better one....It has to be pretty damn good for me to be able to not only remember the game but also the year..especially when that year was over a decade ago.
No matter who is your favortie team might be that game has to rank right up there...That was one of those rare games when even non-football fans were walking around the next day saying "man, did you see that game last night?"...Probably won't see another game like that again where it is not only crazy excitement but being battled by two of the biggest heavyweights of all time like Elway and Montana.

I don't know. The 1997 game when Grbac to Rison beat the Raiders was pretty good. Went 80 yards with no timeouts and 50-some seconds to play. That was pretty awesome.
Last year's Monday night victory at Baltimore was pretty entertaining even though KC was still only 1-3 afterwards.

That is definitely a big blow if he doesn't play....Fortunately Surtain looks like a go but losing Roaf is a big kick in the crotch. Losing Sims doesn't really hurt our starting lineup IMO but despite him being an underachieving bust he does add solid depth for the rotation so that is a minor ding also.

They think he is most likely going to play....I sure hope so. If you are down to your 3rd and 4th best tackles starting by week 2 that usually doesn't bode well. If that happens all I can say is thankfully it is the Raiders and their pitiful run D cause that would be one of the few situations where we might still be able to run the ball.

Defending the Raiders is easy since all they do now is throw to Moss, even if four guys are hanging on him. And oh yeah, run once in awhile. Its the "one wideout, one running back" offense. If any coach has truly snapped in this division, its Turner. I never saw so many three and outs. Only a boob expects to have an offense of 20-40 yard passes a pop.
