Not being pessimistic but If this team doesn't show up a couple times early this year they will be 0-4 and possibly 1-5. SD, KC, at JAX, and NE in week 6 is a tough schedule. This 12-4 predictions are homer picks. I'd be happy with 10-6 maybe 11-5. :puff:

I think we will know better after this week at home. That was a rough loss. I called 10-6 and went homer...I really expected them to win last Sunday. At this point, all bets are off.

Thanks! I could talk boxing all day long most days. Especially all the great fighters in the 70s and 80s! Back then got watch all those guys on regular TV. Every week there seemed to be another great championship match up on. Man, I miss those days and fighters!!!!
EDIT: On Sanchez, the guy never talked **** just beat the hell out everyone that got in the ring with him. He would have beat Laporte and then Gomez in the rematch. And then the fight everyone wanted then coming with Arguello! That would have been one great fight!!!!

Im not sure there is a viable path to 11 wins. Looking at the schedule right now, 10 is a stretch as well it seems, unless we make a big assumption (and it is big considering what we have done so far) that we can hold serve at home against ALL AFC West teams and the New York Jets and Washington Redskins (an unlikely scenario, probably going to be 4-1 here or 3-2 since we usually have 1 brainfart at home, and if things continue to turn against us, it would be 2-3 although this is unlikely). But lets take the most optimistic while realistic scenario of these 5 which is 4-1. Thats already 2 losses.
Out of the following 10 (see below), no one can say that Denver will win 7. There arent 7 wins here any way you slice it. There are probably 4 wins here with the most likely being at the New York Giants although they were impressive against the Cardinals so merely saying its the most likely of the lot doesnt mean it in the abstract its likely to happen. Right around 4 looks about right. Of the first four listed, I can see us at 1-3, 2-2 is the best realistic scenario. Of the next three, 0-3 is possible, 1-2 is probably the best realistic scenario. The last three, id say there is a decent chance at 2-1. So the best realistic scenario would be 4 of the five listed above, 2 of the first four below, 1 of the next three, and 2 of the final three. So unfortuneatly it appears that 9-7 is the best realistic scenario. Now we see why the Miami game was so important. It was one we absolutely had to have as insurance against the brutal part of the schedule which is a fairly big slice of the schedule.

SoCal... I respect your opinion and I think you have are one of the most solid if not spectacular posters on this board. However, why don't we wait a little longer before running assumptions on team records. There has been 1 week of football played and I for one am not ready to concede another game until the clock ticks down to zero and that team has more points than ours. You are over analyzing the data that most often yields the fewest accurate results. Every team is beatable, sometimes you just have to hire hookers to sleep with the opposing quarterbacks...although for Peyton, you'd have to send him to neverland ranch to satisfy the hunger inside. Anyways, We can and WILL win throughout.
I am now hoping 9-7... we need to play alot better on both sides of the ball to reach that.

We don't know. Between injuries and trades, there is no telling what's going to happen. I said 10-6 at the beginning, so that's what I'm sticking with.

The next two games should set the tone for us. Winning these two games would put us at the very least a tie for first in the divison. We then get 7 weeks without having to play another West team and Oakland comes after a bye week. KC will have 4 games done before we play our third three of those games are on the road mind you as well. Best thing for us to do is take care of the West teams and worry about the rest later.
