Is there even an available coach better than Shanahan?

This is a silly poll, akin to me starting a poll asking "What is our team's name?"

The answer is obvious.

That was the easiest poll ever on the Mane. Shanny is the best coach this franchise may ever see. I just hope he can start to adapt a bit better otherwise he'll suffer a fate similar to Dan Reeves.

Is it safe to say that the next guy we hire will do worse than Shanahan?

Depends on what you think worse is. Sometimes people need a change, including the fans. I don't think we'll have another coach anytime soon that will win 46 games in 3 years. However, if Shanny is not willing to change things up, he may have to go. He may want to go.

The world is stupid and doesnt know a good coach when they see it.

I agree Bloody.Shanny is awesome, but he has to adapt to the changes the nfl is making, and his own team is makin.

That Avatar is quite disturbing Taco. Is that Shanahan's boy or his NAMBLA recruit?

Or his he getting ready to toss Jake overboard?

Or will Shanahan go down with the ship holding onto Jake?

Or will Jake refuse to get in the lifeboat?

He needs to play to his teams strengths. Run vertical.

I think Shanny needs a vacation to get some creativity into his schemes. With Elway we might open up the game with 4 WR and TD. Or maybe 2 TEs left and 2 wr right.

How about going no huddle to open the 2nd quarter?

Spread the field a little bit. He is way to predictable this days, and relies upon his players to make huge plays instead of putting them into position to make routine plays for 1st downs.

For example, just look at Lelies #'s. 20 ypc. He is hit and miss, just like our offense. But with Eddie Mac and Rod, both were able to do it all. Over the middle, slants, outs, ins, posts, going deep, both of them did it all.

Look at how we scored vs the Colts in the preseason, all on big plays. We are predicated on big plays, but where are the 10 play drives, power football, and most importantly the creativity.

I don't have a crystal ball. I don't think it's safe to say that at all.

He deserves better than that. Just because we played awful against a new head coach does not mean he is a bad coach. We had so many injuries that hurt us and our offense is getting older and we can't execute like we are all used to seeing, with that said, I guarantee you that Shanny will have them ready to play on sunday. :charge:

Based on what? He didn't have them ready to play this past Sunday. Do we want a coach that has to get beat down in order to get the team ready for the following week?

I don't know why so much is put on a coach getting a team fired up to play. Shouldn't some of that responsibility be on the players. I mean I have a hard time seing Bill Walsh giving a great rah rah speech in the locker room. Yet they would always field a great team. I think our leaders are the ones that need to step up and do something about this game.
