OK Fins just outright out gameplaned us, kicked or D all over the field, stopped our run game & took away our passing game. is there anything positive to build on for SD game?

I didn't see much, don't like the coverages & fact our biltzes continued to get picked up all day long. I think we are going to see a long year against our Passing D. JT just returns last play for TD, how embarrassing...

This was one of those games that was so pathetic, it would be better if the team pretended it didn't happen... I know i'm gonna take that advice.

Actually this could work in our advantage. One of my worries about preseason was that we never lost a game and you want to make some mistakes in preseason so they don't show up in games. Miami worked us at every possition and exposed and attacked every weakness. At least moving forward from here we have a good idea of where we're weak and we can (hopefully) make som changes to address it. That said, if bailey is out for long, I'm not seeing a bright light at the end of this season.

Funny how we didn't have many injuries in PS then got down to last 2 CB's!

Shanny & Coyer got schooled by a college coach!

the NFL learned how to play us today. we either stop it or get burned every week.

Why? So that Shanahan can pick the worst of the bunch? Personel moves on this team have been questionable at best.

We were beaten before all the CB's went down. We were LUCKY to hold them to 6 at half time. It could have Been at least 8 points higher for fins.

Saban had a solid gameplan. Mike tried to be fancy & never allowed the O to get any rythm & settle down. Saban had great coverages & we did not get rod into the game until it was TOO FREAKING LATE.

Our pass D had a horrible game...Plummer had a horrible game...the offensive line coudn't open any holes for Anderson/Bell...

We have nowhere to go but up. THAT'S what we need to emphasize. I'm not ready to call it a season by any means, but we have to get the fundamental mistakes fixed in a hurry.

What do we have to Build on after today?

Ron Dayne was untouchable today...I don't recall seeing one Miami defender lay a hand on him at all today. Just incredible. We really have to build on getting the unstopable force of the Great Dayne the ball more.

We did have some good pressure and played very good d in the first half. But when defense is in the heat for that long, bad things happen.

To build on, well, Rod Smith was the only one who showed up. But thats a given.

Where to place the blame? Several places. First the OL. They couldn't open a hole for a RB all day. Pass blocking just average, but OK. Now, Plummer, he couldn't his a Bull in the a-- with a base fiddle. When he was on target, he threw the ball way too hard to the short receivers, or missed them badly. He just looked bad! All deep balls were over thrown, the short ones off to a side etc. Then he got frustrated late in the game and threw 2 intercepts. I thought that one of his passes in the end zone on 4th down should have been caught for a TD. Bounced off the receivers hand. I also thought Shanny or Kubiac called a poor game. Got completely away fron the running game. Kick offs werre poor!!! So much for this weeks play. Maybe better next week. If not, it will be a long season.

This has got to be the most gutless performance from the Broncos since..since..since forever!! I'm mad as hell at the lack of fight. They literally gave up half way through the third quarter.

Just think of it as the last game of Preseason (they sure played like it), and next week is the first game of the regular season.

This game reminded me of a (early) preseason game in so many ways.

This has got to be the most gutless performance from the Broncos since..since..since forever!! I'm mad as hell at the lack of fight. They literally gave up half way through the third quarter. They were worn the **** out. That happens when you play in heat and you leave your D out on the field all damn day.

We were outcoached. Saban hasn't been in Miami a year yet and he outcoached Shanahan and crew like they were playing a different damn game.

Didn't New England open last year's season with a buttkicking from the Bills? Yep, that they did. It was only one game, just like this was only one game.

Thats what we have to build on. It was one game against a largely unknown opponent when we were a known element. We still sucked, but it only cost us one game. If it cost us Champ, well, thats a different thing all together, but I'd currently like to not think about loosing the one great playmaker on our team.

Where do we go from here? Well, if I was stearing the ship I'd be making Jake damn sure that his leash isn't that long. Another start like this game and BVP is in by halftime.

Tatum keeps the starting job at HB but we stop pounding him in the red zone and for short yardage. He's a homerun threat, not a pounder. Anderson and Dayne carry the load there and if one of those two emerges while spelling Tater they take the starting job.

Rod is still the #1, no matter what it looked like in camp. I'm pushing to get Terrell up to speed but now I'm gonna let Adams and Devoe see some more action in short yardage and red zone situations over Ashley. He needs a message about stepping up while Adams and Devoe need to have their work getting here recognized early on with an opportunity at the next level.

I go scouring the waiver wire looking for a replacement to Carlisle. Seriously he's going to get Jake killed, or at least our season in the attempt. If Dan Neil can walk I'd be thinking long and hard about calling him up. He can atleast keep out of the other guys way.

If I were in charge I'd also feel real damn stupid about giving Gold the big payday, but we all knew that was coming. He did some good so the degree to which Shanny should feel stupid has yet to be seen. I'm wishing that money had instead been invested in making Franks a better offer than what the Pack had given up to the last week of pre-season when they overpaid. Alexander was ****in' ugly.

I'm also scratching my head as to why I thought a specialist kick-off guy was worth a roster spot over say, another corner, another OL, or a 4th RB (could Cedric Cobbs see a chance soon?).

This game hurts, but it doesn't end the season. Who knows, this is a team with many of the same guys who coasted their asses into the playoffs the last two years, maybe an early embarassment was just what they needed to change their motivation. Otherwise we're probably looking at two top 15 picks, since the Skins could barely beat an inept Chicago team despite turning the ball over a ton. With that we should be able to do some remodelling of this team.

the only positive I saw was jake showed us some nice escape moves when almost being sacked.

then he sailed it over a head or into the ground

did our d not get the turnovers we were asking for? We were up 3-0 in the turnover department untillit was 27-10 i beleive. thats when jake started throwing the ints is when he was trying to force plays cause no receivers except for rod were worth a crap. And how many dropped balls did they have in that game? I saw way to many balls hit the hands of receivers and end up on the ground.

Denver has to expect teams to come out and look to give them a whopping. Saw it today. Every single team Denver plays is going to come out with their A game. I was hoping to see Miami come out and give Denver a test. I never liked all the big talk in camp, and now I'm happy to see an early humbling. Maybe these guys will start listening to the coaches now.

I have a hard time believing the Denver coaching staff is so awful they put on a show like we saw today. I did hear lots of players talking SB in camp. Championships at any level are won on gameday, 11 of 11 have to execute on each play, and then 2-3 guys have to excel above and beyond execution on each play to pocket a title.

So SD is up next, followed by KC. Opportunity for the team, knocking at the door.

Why not? Keep the young, and a couple of good experience players(Champ, Al Wilson, Rod) and dump the rest. It would only take 2 years. Get rid of the crap & rebuild through the draft. This team needs some super talent. It just doesn't have much of it.

If we keep playing this way we will have our top 5 pick & washingtons 17 in April. I am going to try to keep an even keel this week & will wait to go nuts until we lose vs SD. I am spending about $1000 to go see the SD game from Chicago. Hope to at least have fun hooking up with Meck & OF1!
