It's just a shame that we couldn't get Ryan Simmms on that list. Unfortunately the team that wasted a top ten pick on that bust hasn't been smart enough to cut their losses yet. ;D

SiMs is no bust. He's starting to come into his own this season. You'll see.

Screw Fatlock. I saw Sims dominate the Giants with my own eyes. Chris Snee didnt do **** against him. Sims is primed for a huge year. I'll trust Vermeil on this over some jealous hack reporter.

Why bring up last preseason? It's like night and day compared to this preseason. Sims looks like Warren Sapp, circa 2000.

Im bringing it up because you said the same thing last year and he proved to be a fraud just like the previous years. And Bob, why are you clinging to this "dont talk about last year" stuff? You constantly use facts from last year in your arguments. Its not like we can look into the future and see what happens to help our arguments. If we abide by your rule there is nothing to talk about at all.

I absolutely did not say the same thing last year.

As far as using facts from last year, some apply, some do not. I would think it would be fairly obvious which ones apply and which ones do not.

The entirety of the Planet, including yourself, was ragging on Whitlock's observations specifically regarding Sims preseason play.

Don't lump me in with "the entire planet."

I certainly wasn't coming over here and pimping Sims like I have been this year. He looks like a different player.

Jake Plummer has looked like a completely different player this preseason too Bob. He threw 3 TDs, 0 INTs and had a QB rating of around 115. He certainly was night and day from last preseason when he threw 0 TDs and 4 INTs. So is he primed for a huge year too?

One would certainly think so. I'm in no position to disagree.

For once you're actually consistent with your criteria. Good work.

Yeah, this is great

Now we have more busts than the Hall of Caesars...c'mon back Willie...add your head

With any luck, we can squeeze one great year out of all that great potential

I don't see why we can't bring Willie back as a backup. Wabbit, you said his knee was shot, do you know how he is now?

It wasn't his knee, Mock...it was his ankle, and it was chrinic from day one.

He kept aggravating the same injury, then things became more complicated when he wrenched his knee (more than once), but the knee itself wasn't the problem

His ankle never healed...or, at least, it never healed properly.

Kinda what I figured. Remember when I said we might of send damaged good to that 3 stooge operation in SF? Pretty amusing. We got a strong backup/starter pass rusher for someone who was cut.

The "plan" again looks good. It was stupid to draft Middlebrooks in the first place. I couldn't believe it. David Gibbs is gone. I hope Patterson isn't leading us down the same path, but I don't think so.

I think Coyer can pull rank on anyone on Defense at this point, including Patterson. I think Shanahan has totally handed over control of the D to Coyer, which is good.

I remember when Shanahan had to take over the defense for that idiot Rhoeds. (I hope the find out his health problem)....but that isn't a good sign when the head coach has to make adjustments. That week, the D played better.

Shanahan is a great coach, and people that don't realize it are totally ignorant. He could coach any position on any team in the NFL. Plus he has the evil eye.
