Here are what some are saying over at Finheaven about us. Some aren't bad, and other's are worthless.

Boston will be against (most likely) Darrent Williams, who clocks in at 5-8" 190lbs. He's a rookie, and will be against a guy who's got 6 inches and 50lbs on him. I can see Boston going for 60-90. You line up a formation with McMichael, Ronnie Brown, Chambers, Booker, and Boston, and you've created an instant mismatch.

My biggest concern for Sunday Is our Run defense...we have looked real crappy vs. the run the past couple seasons ..and This week vs Denver we better be ready because that OL can do some damage!!

Miami had 170 total passing yards agianst us last year. 40 @ the most were on champ.

We are going to fight a muddy field in a few days, but some of these predictions are funny.

One thing about the Broncos, they seem to really ebb and flow with the leaders. We need a madman on the D, as a coach. I want you to notice that the poster talked about our run defense. Umm, our run defense is twice as good this year....

I agree with 1/2 of that.

The DO have MORE weapons than last year and will probably hang bout 14 on us, BUT even if the Browncos dont pick up the slack we still got a healthy PRyce, Engleberger to do some dirty work, plus Veal is better than some may think. Plus its a ctually a mismatch for them to put their TE on our Lb's.

Wont be an easy game, never is in FL but we should come out with the W in the end which is all that matters. :militia:

He's got 15 years in the league, which given that he's a NT, means his legs are older that GOAT's. He's also packing 337 pounds now. This dude came out of college as an LB at 260 pounds, so he's carrying some serious stuborn belly fat. For once I agree with you Boob. Except for the QB's part. I don't think Plummer is going to mess up too much this year. Our saving grace for this game. Shanny is incredible when given ample time to prepare. Openers and games after the bye week are his strong suit. I'm guessing, but I'd guess we have a win pct somewhere around 80% in those games since Shanny's been the HC!

This is an FU game if there ever was one. New coach, struggling team, but hard place for us to play in. If we win, we were supposed to b/c we have the better team. If we lose, we don't deserve any respect etc, etc. I hate this type of opener!

Well they play the games for a reason don't they? Teams upset better teams on any Given Sunday.

That being said, I do not think any team in the NFL is markedly inferior to another like in College. The law of dimishing returns keeps the talent fairly equal in a 32 team league as opposed to 116 teams in Div. 1 ball.

What I do not think the Dolphins have is any single matchup advantage over the Broncos. Frerotte played in DEN and we know his game better than Saban does. Your RB's are in FLUX at Best. You have Chambers who I think is very Good, but we have Bailey who is the Best CB IMHO. The OL has Been porous and can not create consistant Holes for your running game. Denver brings a two time fourth ranked Defense under Coyer that has upgraded its Pass rush and LOS penetration from last year.

On the other side of the ball, Madison goes from a Great #2 CB to a good #1 CB. Then, you have a first year starter on Lelie who led the league in Yards per catch and looks severely improved in his intermediate routes. The OL will open some Holes and Anderson will get 100+ and the running game will probably be close to 200 total. Plummer has been very good at protecting the ball this preseason, unlike the previous two years, and he knows the defense and ST's are improved so he does not need to press as much.

There might be one advantage – hot and sticky South Florida September weather. Despite the all the conditioning players undertake, muggy weather fatigues people quickly. The Phins should be more used to it.

In under a week, on Week effing One!, your lil team will be prison biatched by The Broncos so much so that is just isn’t fair. Such azz beatings can psychologically cripple a team for the season and it has to come in Week 1! Damn you NFL, damn you!



I was thinking that maybe there is something that you losers can do to lessen the effects or give The Broncos an incentive to let up a little. After all it is a road game for them.



To safe your team from an absolute pimp-style biatch slapping, the efforts by you that must occur are as follows:



1) Move that college coach out of his house. Including his family—even grandma—and all his crap—LSU crap included--out. Shannahan needs a place to stay;

2) Book your veterans at the Motel 6. The Broncos need a place to stay;

3) On Friday, have some kind of parade tribute to honor The Broncos, their dominance, and the entire AFC-W supremacy;

4) At the stadium, The Broncos will be using the home locker room. Thus any and all ugly-azz teal crap must go. Paint the walls, the lockers, and paint them Orange and Blue. Also, take down all flags that reference your 2-14 patheticacy, and replace them with Broncos paraphernalia and put up a Colorado flag or two as well;

5) Your cheer leaders report to the Broncos’ place of stay 15 minutes prior—no 45 minutes prior to their arrival. G-Stings and booby tassels donned;

6) On game day, give celebration to the greatest effing QB ever, by having a John Elway “Orange Crush” jersey day;

7) Play “Hail To The Chief” every time Shannahan steps on, and off, the field, challenges a play, and when he arrives at, and leaves from, the airport;

8) At half time, your veterans run over to The Broncos’ locker room and wash all jocks and socks, and then reissue them to The Broncos before second half kick off;

9) Replace your circle of fame, with Bronco greats of the past. Don’t for get to include Shannon Sharpe and Terrell Davis; &

10) Shut the effe up when Plummer and Company are on the field.



There you have it; you losers have a litany of things to do before the Broncos’ arrival. I suggest youse work together, with sound organization and diligence. It is paramount that things go smoothly. we practiced in houston for a week, that place is a fookin swamp.

with that said, dont you think both teams will struggle? Its the first full game of the season (for the starters) and i dont think ANYONE could really get used to the weather.

I tried to engage in serious conversations with several of you there. Only Kaylore and i think atlas i could speak with.... some of you (like champbailey) were not even adding anything to the conversations -just posting garbage to piss people off. what do you expect is going to happen? some of you set out just to see how quickly you would get banned. so you go there talking obscenities or making sexual innuendoes in your avatars, you get banned like your goal was, then you come here and complain you were banned.

Yep. I brought some takes over there and some statistical comparisons, but it was almost as if they totally ignored the takes and went straight for the trash talk throat. I couldnt beat em, so I joined them. I started gushing about everything having to do with the dolphins just like they were doing.

now, when the regulars use less-than-nice phrases or words, there does tend to be more leniency because these posters have been around awhile and have probably contributed decent arguments before. also keep in mind there are only a handful of moderators there, but a zillion posts. finheaven tends to be one of the "busier" boards in all of the NFL (i have scanned many boards). it sure is a chore to sift through all the posts, and some probably get missed.

you have to remember it is a DOLPHINS forum though - homerism is going to be there and so is favoritism.

My best advice is that when you go there act like a diplomat representing the Broncos - say what you want to say, but try to be PC about it. after you have been there awhile and/or made decent posts you will earn credibility and be able to start slingin'.... many bills fans have done this. once they earn the respect of the fin fans, they can post some real smack and not worry about being banned - they obviously aren't "trolling".

FYI i was banned from finheaven at one point too.... some fin fan was saying how Boston was going to be the best WR in the NFL this year and i was saying he was crazy. I was trying to show him the truth. In the heat of the argument i called him an "idiot", and was banned for two days for that. personal attacks are against the TOS.

come on now - plenty of people there talk smack. but there is a line they don't want you to cross. I have no affiliation with the management of that site, but they (and i emphasize) try to keep it somewhat of a family atmosphere. If you start cursing or making sexual references, those are violations of the TOS.

i won't get into the Marino/Elway argument again. you are bringing up something that has NOTHING to do with this thread. I've told you several times over there, that team records are functions of TEAM effort.... personal stat records are more of a PERSONAL accomplishment. the average NFL fan won't remember who QB's in SuperBowl 31 or 20 or 25 or whatever.... but they will remember who holds the all-time passing yards record, and all-time passing TD records....

well there is a curse-word filter... even if you say ass, its asterisks it out. if you'd care to copy and paste the quote (or link it) that you are specifically talking about, i'd love to see. (not calling you out - i really do want to see). everytime a rude word gets typed there, it should be blocked out.

but again - i'm not a moderator over there or anything... i'm just trying to play arbiter here and straighten things out. i think the bronco/dolphin thing got started out on the wrong foot....

you make some points - there tend to be more leniency for the fans there. BUT keep in mind it IS a dolphin forum. put yourself in their shoes. If a fan from another team comes on the board and starts talking smack right out of the hole (including cursing), of course you're going to ban them.... obvious troll.

now, when the regulars use less-than-nice phrases or words, there does tend to be more leniency because these posters have been around awhile and have probably contributed decent arguments before. also keep in mind there are only a handful of moderators there, but a zillion posts. finheaven tends to be one of the "busier" boards in all of the NFL (i have scanned many boards). it sure is a chore to sift through all the posts, and some probably get missed.

you have to remember it is a DOLPHINS forum though - homerism is going to be there and so is favoritism.

My best advice is that when you go there act like a diplomat representing the Broncos - say what you want to say, but try to be PC about it. after you have been there awhile and/or made decent posts you will earn credibility and be able to start slingin'.... many bills fans have done this. once they earn the respect of the fin fans, they can post some real smack and not worry about being banned - they obviously aren't "trolling".

FYI i was banned from finheaven at one point too.... some fin fan was saying how Boston was going to be the best WR in the NFL this year and i was saying he was crazy. I was trying to show him the truth. In the heat of the argument i called him an "idiot", and was banned for two days for that. personal attacks are against the TOS.

tough rules? yeah, but the mods are trying to keep it somewhat civil. and remember, i am a dolphins fan. banning can happen to us all.

You KNOW there are multiple threads that are still on the main forum page where the Fin fans have hardly any takes; just smack talk and insults, and they aren't moved. Your own experience just proves they have a "possitive comments about the Dolphins only" policy because they will take the side of the guy who is defending the team. here we have fans rip guys on the team all the time. It makes for better discussion about a teams pros and cons and takes some of the homer edge off a bit. I think your mods' over-moderation of those critical of the team and the large sea of indiot homers are two totally connected issues.

I've told you several times over there, that team records are functions of TEAM effort.... personal stat records are more of a PERSONAL accomplishment. the average NFL fan won't remember who QB's in SuperBowl 31 or 20 or 25 or whatever.... but they will remember who holds the all-time passing yards record, and all-time passing TD records....

When idiot dolphin poster comes on and says "champ bailey sucks and david boston is the next randy moss", he is being retarded, but its not smack.... against the dolphins. this shouldn't even be a beef. it clearly states smack goes in the Depths of the Sea forum - they have a different setup there than you guys here... here most of the action happens pretty much in THIS forum here. (this is similar to the bills forum - it all really happens in ONE forum). finheaven is broken down into different sections.

Now - if you get banned or what have you for smack said IN the Depths Forum, then i could understand your anger.

The bottom line is it is just different rules over there. You are holding Orange Mane standards to finheaven, which has a different rule set. If you follow the rules, you won't have problems. Given what you guys were setting out to do (based on the first post in that thread - we know you guys just set out to go there to cause trouble), you guys should have just started in the smack forum - you could have never journeyed into the main forum and you'd probably still be there (not banned). time and place for everything... :)
