They haven't updated www.denverbroncos.com yet, so as much for my own benefit as anybody else's, I though I'd try to assimilate all the cuts etc into the revised depth chart - apologies if this has already been done elsewhere. Players listed in brackets are the second listing for players backing up multiple positions:
WR:Smith, Watts, Adams
LT:Lepsis, C. Green
LG:Hamilton, Carswell
C: Nalen, (Hamilton)
RG:Carlisle, (Carswell)
RT:Foster, (C. Green)
TE:S. Alexander, Putzier, Jackson, Duke, (Leach)
WR:Lelie, Rice, Devoe
QB: Plummer, Van Pelt
RB: Mi. Anderson, Bell, Dayne
FB: Johnson, Sapp
LDE: Brown, Ekuban, Coleman
LDT: Myers, Pope
RDT: Warren, Veal
RDE: Pryce, Engelberger
WLB: Gold, L. Green
MLB: Wilson, Burns
SLB: Willams, Chukwurah
LCB: Bailey, Foxworth, R. Alexander
RCB: Walls, Williams, Paymah
SS: Ferguson, Ma. Anderson
FS: Lynch, Brandon
PK: Elam
P: Sauerbrun
KO: Ernster
LS: Leach
Seems odd we have 5 TEs, even if one of them is a long-snapper - they've been saying we'll be running more multiple TE sets this year.

I like the look of that chart. What I really like is the youth that we have on the roster. Lynch, Nalen, and Smith are the only guys whos age is a factor, and we have some young guys behind them that i'm really excited about.
Devoe, Darrent, Foxworth, Paymah, Duke, Ernster, Van Pelt, Watts, and Bell are all first or second year guys that will contribute this year and have tremendous upside. I think we could be entering a stretch of really good football in Denver.

Iam suprised that Broncos are only going with 3 RB this year, in spite of last season, where our RB's were either worn down or enjured. Shanahan likes to live on the edge
!
Hell, we were also thin at the OL last year and they still did great.

i think multiple TE sets arw the best way to combat the 3-4 defense. Gives you a better chance to pick up blitzes and find the holes in the D.

Every single one of those TE's can catch, and I think that we really will see a lot of two TE sets.

So, that is the plan we are going 2TE formation.
Great I like that!
Here is a toast for holding penalty free season :alky:

I think I might be right in saying that apart from Alexander, ALL of those guys did not play TE in college: NJ was a WR till last year, I think Putz may have been drafted as a WR but converted almost straight away and Duke didn't even play with a pointy ball in college.
So unlike last year where our 2-TE sets had Hape and Carswell lining up, this year when we play 2 -TE its going to be like a spread formation but with big guys.......... :boxing:

I was suprised to. Denver I thought would keep only one FB. It looks like Sapp got Griffins spot which is fine by me.

More evidence that they have no intention of moving Mike Anderson back to fullback. He's da' man, guys. Let's hope he can hold up.

Somebody rep this guy for me!
I love the youth movement. We are getting guys in there who can play and are willing to mix things up. It's great.
Geez. Don't write off Smith just yet. Geez. You guys are already digging a hole for the guy.

Sapp is a converted RB, much like RD. He can run HB in an emergency.

Good call. Looking at our roster we have(listing the year they will be in THIS year, IE: a 6th year means he was drafted in '00)
-(6) rooks
-(9) 1st or 2nd year guys (1st years guys must include practice teamers from last year, as BVP is on the list, and UDA's like Devoe)
-(6) 3rd year
-(6) 4th year
-(3) 5th year
-(9) 6th year
That means 39 out of 53 players only have 5 years in or less. Of those young players, 12 are starters.

VERY surprised to see Duke make the active roster. He's got ability to be sure, but I thought his lack of experience would make him a practice squad project. Any of our insiders have word on why he was kept on the active roster? Has he been so impressive as to leave the team worried that someone would pick him up on their active roster?
Also disappointed to see LeSuer gone. I thought it had been intimated by Med that he was playing well. Oh well. Glad to see Ernster stick.

I thought I heard them say during the Den/AZ game, that there were some teams asking about and showing some interest in Duke. I'm not sure if that's the reason why they kept him, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the table.

Official Depth Chart is up on the Broncos site: http://www.denverbroncos.com/page.php?id=134
Also, looks like Michael Myers switched from #76 to #96

The return game lists Darrent as both the kick and punt return man. Adams is back up on punts, but Roc as the other Kick off guy is a surprise. Shanahan said in his press conference that he won't reveal who the return man will be until Sunday morning.

We need a pass rusher. Imagine if we can get someone like Mario Williams or Kiwi.

96 is a DT number 76 more de...god I'm smart.
I'm very confused how we only kept 9 DL, especially with Brown being so injury prone, and Veal. I guess the funny sounding guy is exempt because of some NFLE rule. I figured 10 minimum with Brown in there.

word around the NFL was that there were sevceral teams that were looking at Duke if Denver cut him.
Word has it that Duke despite playing basketball is a tough son-of-a-bitch and won't take lip from anyone, including LBers.

I can't remember what teams were interested. I'm thinking Tennessee but I can't remember. There were two of them listed though.
