Glad to see Dorsey make the team.
Sorta surprised that Purify got cut.

Me, too. I did only see the one game, but he looked really solid. Very fluid, strong runner with good instincts.

I'm glad there are so many teams moving to the 3-4. Shanny got good 4-3 guys for pretty much nothing. I love how "The Plan" turned out.

Middlebust was running with their first team too. If he can't crack that lineup he'd best start eyeing the want ads.

Maybe he can get a job as a trainer. He's spent the better part of the past few years in the training room. They should give him a degree in that field.

Anyone that takes issue with my stance that with few exceptions, our drafts have been literally horrible. Do you think Shoate would of made it if we didn't hide him on IR?

I wouldnt be opposed to bringing Willie back. We have basically 3 spots open with Renteria, Mawombo and Veal. Those guys are just space that is going to be cut when we bring in people from the waiver wires or trades.

We have lost Kenoy, Herndon, Deltha, and have three corners on IR. Roc is fractured mentally. I bring back willie and work him as a reserve safety/nickle.
If, like Wabbit said, we passes damaged goods with a bad knee, then I pass, that might be the story. I think we might of passed a Barnum and Bailey on that Circus called the Niner's and have absolutely no intention of bringing in Willie.

Bringing back Willie in exchange for cutting Roc free is the greatest idea and opportunity... ever.

Hand me that damn roster, Mock can make the cuts, I'm ruthless, but I don't throw treasure out with trash. I'll be surprised if either Davis, or even Pierce gets thru waivers. Honestly, I am thinking Pierce WANTED to be cut so he could go back to MLB.
We better announce a few new signings tommorow or I'm postal.
Calm down mock, it's all part of "The Plan".

Sweet. Bring him back!!!
He would add depth to our team. Who knows, maybe we can throw him into the safety position.

Willie is a really good Special teams player and can even sub at Safety in a pinch. We can get him on the cheap now too.

Well, he's been moved back to safety, and played well enough this preseason to make the roster. I guess we'll find out if it's a good thing or not.

By the way, is Woods still on your roster or did they cut him after he got run over by that Vikes 3rd string QB?

Mawombo doesn't count against the 53 man roster does he? I thought there was some deal about him being a roster exemption.

He didn't play much against the Chargers a couple of nights ago, but he was repeatedly caught behind the line of scrimmage when he did play.

Willie's a heck of a ST-er. If he's not damaged goods he should be back and Roc ousted. I've no confidence in Roc. Willies' not bad when he gets on the field. Boob's only ****ting his pants that Denver has basically raped several teams this spring and his own is prolly too dumb to even look at Middlebrooks.
"Naw, were fine. We've got a Raven-esk-like defense here in KC" Whistles tunelessly while walking with head down, averting eyes of perfect strangers.

If Willie was worth having, I think he would still be on the roster in SF. There must be an underlying issue.
We have a bunch of DB's right now, I know the need for depth, but I think the O-line should be a bigger priority than bringing back a broken dream.

Bartee played well this preseason.
Woods is on the roster because it costs too much to cut him. Sucks.

How'd I miss this? This is hilarious. Talk about redeeming yourself for a bad pick. Engleberger has been busting his ass taking down quarterbacks while Willie has been busting his akle. Great steal!

However, Mike Adams and rookie Derrick Johnson played more special teams than Middlebrooks and thus were considered more valuable.
This comment about Middlebrooks is surprising. He always played a decnt STer in Denver.

No, he's an NFLE developmental player bound for the practice squad, so he doesn't count against the 53 man roster.

The only surprise here is he wasn't hurt and went to IR.
Maybe he can be help Disco wash OF1 if Meck would be so kind as to give him a job. I think Middlebrooks got caught up in that SF lifestyle too much if you know what I mean.

I wonder what happend? I mean he did have an INT in PS play. Hell even Herndon had a great catch for an INT. I haven't heard about Willie getting hurt in PS so I wonder just what happend. I mean, he wasn't that bad when he played here in Denver was he?

But how bad would it look on SF if Denver got him back though. I bet the media wouldn't say anything about it. I would take him over Roc in a heartbeat, if not then just for ST play.

I do not get SF, they knew he was coming off an injury, Knew he would need time to learn sysstem and get wheels back under him, what the hell.
Not that Ik complaining I love JE on this team, but Willie is getting a raw deal with SF.

I wasn't suggesting it. In fact, I just found it kind of humorous. I know that he had a wife/girlfriend when he was in Denver.

Wasn't talking about you. There is another identical thread that was started last night... thus the old news comment. As for him being gay or married or whatever... honestly it doesn't really matter to me. If he could stay healthy he would still be in Denver...gay or not!

Willie became a pretty good ST's player, plus he's good depth at CB. If he'll come back for a modest contract I'd say to do it. Doubt you trade a player and then bring him back though. Nice option, but I doubt it happens.
