Orange Mane's Player of the Game

I will try to stay consistant with these during the regular season.
Maybe someone could contact the player of the game and tell them they have won.

Bradlee Van Pelt:

3 carries 19 yards

Tatum Bell:
8 carries 78 yards
2 catches 15 yards

Ok, Finally the thread goes through, I guess it had something to do with the title name? Ahh I just renamed it.

I think Darius Watts helped give Rice his walking papers. He needed a big performance and he had one.

I went with BVP. He rebounded from two straight shaky performances and played well tonight.

I'm pretty happy Watts preformed well. IF Darius Watts can be consistant at catching the ball, He will be a better reciever than anyone on our team. Watts runs the bests routes, He needs to catch those balls though.

Watts caught two crucial Touchdowns, HUGE game from him and he gets my vote.

Got to go with Watts. He had a nice game and great catches for the TD's.

I thought he preformed the best out of them all. Strong performance to lock up that backup position.

Those are all encouraging stats. I doubt BVP will ever be a 65% passer, but he's got wheels and is son of Brad the LB.

Of course I can't find any highlights of the game, there should be some on ESPN but who knows. There were not alot of games tonight. On NFL live I saw Garcia get dragged down, and some Viking highlights but the Broncos were not even mentioned. Figures. Hard to eat that crow isn't is Salsbury.

Watts evidently made to outstanding TD catches. I can live with a WR catching 3 if two are TD's.

DEVO dropped what they said was a pretty easy TD catch, but also made some big plays. He has to stay.

Tatum Bell was outstanding YPC. 9.5 or so. That's sick when his longest run was only 35. Only 35. Of course the media has been up Pimp Daddy's crack all preseason that "this could be Arizona's year". Considering out second teams kicked the snot out their first in the first half and all game we were playing below their teams, I think they can keep the champaign on ice in Arizona.

There were four TD passes thrown his way. One he caught, and it was more of BVP's heads up play than Devoe's. He was wide open for two others. One Mauck threw way over his head. The other one was a catchable one, and it was at least a 30yrd long pretty pass by BVP. I wouldn't say it was an easy pass, although he should have caught it. The first one was a difficult pass in the corner of end zone. I think he had his hands on it, although he had a few DB's around him.

I don't think Devoe had a great game. He's had most passes thrown to, and he had dropped at least two.

I was going to pick BVP. But he's had a very good preseason overall. Watts had a comeback game, but it is what is expected of him. I voted Bell. Bell needed to establish himself as much as Watts, and I was very impressed at how fast and strong he runs. Once he cuts outside, he's on another gear. I bet Bell is faster than Portis.

Van Pelt, but Watts is a close second.

I don't think he played that great. His throws are still all over the place. The WRs were making some great catches out of his terrible throws. He looks good in the pocket, can sense the pressure and where it is coming from, he steps up very good, can run when he needs to, but his throws are very lacking. All in all, I do believe he will improve, but I hope he doesn't get a chance this year due to an injury to Plummer.

No choices on the defensive side? I thought Veal was all over the field, I didn't give him a shot to make the roster, but he played his way on last night

Watts was the best of the available choices, threw the monkey off of his back and stomped on him.

I went with Watts because he was able to break out of his slump and make some awsome catches. Having Darius' confidence back is huge for the Broncos.

I go with Watts and BVP a close second just for that sweet fade pass to the EZ. I didn't think he had it in him. Honorable mention goes to Dayne who I swear, looks like he's got those old Badger legs back.
