Denver needs to make a move on Peerless Price. I believe Shannahan would be able to have a potent offense with a solid 1-2-3 WR punch with Lelie, Rod, and Peerless. Teams would have to respect the speed of both Price and Lelie, and it would even help open up the running game. I know Denver doesn't have much money to make this move, but I'm sure there are ways to get it done. Release OldMan Jerry and squeeze him in. I think Peerless would be a weapon to put us over the top.

thoughts?

Price was in the wrong situation in Atlanta, i think if he came in as a numbr 3 he can be a real threat.

85% chance he's going to land in dallas. He wants to play with bledsoe. :dunk:

Price doesn't drop the ball! 94 catches as a number two WR is damn impressive. Vick isn't a passing QB, (yet) though I doubt he will ever be great at it. Still if we had the money I would jump on this. He comes to a team that isn't expecting him to become a number 1 WR, when in fact he is a good number 2. Also if something should happen to Rod then we would be better off with Lelie, Price, Rice, and Watts then Lelie, Rice, Watts, and Devoe. I can't think of a nickel back in the west that has the talent to cover Price. Anyways its not going to happen but I would welcome it. As bad as everyone said he was in Alt he still had 64 catches his first year there and finished with 109 catches, 6 tds, 1413 yards, 12.95 ypc and 34 first downs per year. A big thing to me is keeping drives alive and he has a career avg of 36 per year. He avg's just under 5 tds per year as well. He is a 28 year guy that can work the slot and open things up for our running game and the middle of the field.

What kind of money does he want?

Big? small?

Based on what?

based on that two teams didn't want him....the last time I remember him sticking out was in the Feista Bowl......and unless he's playing for no bonus and the min...it's not worth dropping what we have on the roster at receiver. Especially with the ageless one possibly being our third.

The ageless one can ride of into the sunset for all I care. Devoe should make it to the PS again and let Luke and Adams battle it out Having proven guy like Price changes the way teams have to match up against us.

Smith
Watts
Lelie
Price
Luke
Jackson
Alexander
Putzier

Thats 7.5 guys we can count on (8 when Watts wakes up) in the passing game. Plummer should have all the tools there to make this one of the best O's since Elway left.

I know he will want more than we will offer so it is hard to even imagine. If we did have the space and he signed relativly cheap then i would be for it.

This thread is useless because it's not going to happen.

We do not have the money under the cap to make a move on anything except backup Guard. Even then we may not do anything. Price will want more than the vet minimum, which will be too much for the Broncs to afford with our cap restrictions.

I would guess that we have about the same amount of room as the Pats do but I could be wrong. I wonder whats up with Koren Robinson. He hasn't signed yet has he? It kind of looks like he is somewhere getting his head on straight which could be a good thing. He can't play the first 4 games but he could learn the O and get up to speed that way. Sorry I just want a better slot WR.

I think this has been discussed but Devoe is not eligible for the practice squad. Price will be signed by dallas so Parcells can call him a little girl!!

If we could get Price at the vet min I would consider it. However, his agent's statement that now that Peerless had been released "He can once again be a receiver instead of a blocker" causes a few flags to be thrown up depending on the context that the statement is taken.

I think Price is and will be a solid and quality #2 or 3 pass catching WR and if in the right system would also contribute to the running game.
