What gives with Sandy Clough and Terry Frei on FSRM Insider Edition this week?

They were actually BEMOANING the loss of Reuben Droughns!! And Clough called RB a "weakness" on this team. I am NOT joking!

Yeah, I saw that. He was saying that they traded him when they don't have anyone as good as him on the roster. That was when I turned the channel. I like Reuben and what he did, but I still don't think he would have even been given a chance if Anderson would have been healthy. Tater and Mike are both better backs. Reubs came in motivated and played his guts out, but he wore down later in the season.

My thoughts exactly! Right place, right time for Reuben - possibly just a brief flash. It'll be interesting to see how he does this year. Has he cracked the starting lineup there?

He did today. Suggs is out with a High Ankle Sprain..

Sandy always sees the glass half empty or worse. Take what he says and turn it 180.

MA is playing his arse off. Bell is shaming him with his speed. RD looks pretty darn good compared to the old RD--and has better hands. And to date, we've not seen the other two.

Just how could we be worse off??

Just how could we be worse off??I don't think Sandy Clough is a pessimist, that's Joe Williams' role. Hell, Sandy thought the Nuggets were going to the NBA finals when they were in the middle of that hot streak earlier this year.

He'll probably be splitting carries with Green. It was Suggs and Green last year, but that was B. Davis I guess.

I hope the "old RD" does well, but he looked fatigued toward the end of last season - he's a real Question mark for the Browns.

Can they dangle MA for trade bait like last year? The "new RD" looks like a solid #2, at the least

The one thing that probably sealed Droughns' fate were his fumbles. Do you remember when Mike Shanahan cut Chris Howard during the 1998 preseason after a 3 fumble game in Nashville vs. the Titans? Howard had a spot secured before that game.

Even though Bell and Portis aren't the surest hands of holding on, they bring the big play home run threat which makes it a little easier to tolerate. However, when you are a north-south runner like Droughns, you must hang onto to the rock.

There were a combination of things that sealed his fate, including wanting more money than he’s worth to the team, dealing with his agent and the ability to trade for a D lineman.

Talking about dropping the rock, Q “lil’hands” Griffin shouldn't even be near the roster.
BTW is it part of the NFL labor agreement or did the coaches not have the heart to cut the little guy while on IR.

I gave up on those morons years ago -- primarily Clough. I think Shanny has gotten under his skin. He seems to have it in for Denver. For the record, we have 4 or 5 backs on this roster as good as Droughns, just maybe not with as much heart.

My point is this: Is anybody really upset - even ONE IOTA upset - that Droughns is gone? OF COURSE NOT!

We're also not bemoaning the losses of Jason Baker, Donnie Spragan, Reggie Hayward or (soon enough) Monsanto Pope either. Why? Because like Rueben's spot - WE UPGRADED AT ALL THESE POSITIONS!

BB - I like to read what you say, but your use of caps, bolds, large fonts, etc makes it hard to read.

The Local guys have been burned by the inconsistency of the team enough. Now all they want to do is lowball expectations in order to make themselves not get burned again. Needless to say, they will all jump on the bandwagon again if this team can be consistent.
