As long as we don't give any, I don't care....ok that's not true.

Im kind of worried that we cant force a rookie QB to throw even 1 INT but at least we got pressure.

Champ's history shows that he is totally a turnover producing machine.

After we canned Gibbs they were much better. Look at ints in the second half of the season. We went from last to fourth to last. Yeah that still sucks, but they started to come.

I agree, just not enough like you said.
It would be nice to see the trend start in the pre-season. I think we'll do better this year. More pressure up front should help create quite a few more turnovers.

I think one of the greatest moves this offseason the team made was to get Slowik as the secondary coach. He may not be cordinator material, but his track as a secondary coach speaks for itself.
On the other hand, I guess we singled out turnover and Special teams as the units we needed significant improvement, and the lack of both is disturbing. Especially considering the line seem so much improved, and on top of that could get even better.

Score more points than the other team as well...that is all.

yep but more turnovers will likely lead to more games being over early. That means that we could rest the starters and also give the second tiers some valuable time.
Also a turnover is often gamechanging the momentum. I wonder sometimes how good the team would be if we had say top ten in giveaways/takeaways ratio.

Saw something I didn't know today. Despite being the 29th ranked D the Colts were tops in TO last year. The Pats the first year they won the SB were the 24th ranked D but top 5 in TO's. It's a priority for a team to get TO's, it's the road to the SB.

It was surprising the Broncs went 10-6 with that lousy TO ratio they had last year.

By creating turnovers you will. Hopefully we can create some turnovers and turn them into points. :-)

Now imagine if we start getting the turnovers.......
Look out is all I can say.

One positive thing is that Denver's front four has been getting more pressure the first two games. If that continues and Champ and Walls are playing you have to think some turnovers will happen.

I think our defense hears turnover and starts arguing over which is better. Apple or cherry....

I think the Mighty Midget manned the corner on Saturday, and it seemed like he wasn't on the field. Very quiet, picking on Paymah and LeSewer. I didn't hear anything about D. Williams really. Which is good. The whole time in the chat room I can't remember a play going his way. I'm sure there were a half dozen, but sounds like he's covering like a fox circling the hens. Did Champ play? I thought he rested his hammy again.
DEVO and Adams came up big. Watts is still getting open.

It's the single most important thing our defense can do to win ball games...take away the opposing offense's scoring chances.

until I see us get a 3-4 turn over game w/o us turning it over as well, I'll see it when I believe it
Seems to me, I can't even remember the last time we had a postive turn over ratio.......probably 1998

Preseason games are a poor predictor of turnovers. Defensive schemes are much more limited since team's don't want to tip their hand to rival scouts. Running rookies and new guys in and out to evaluate talent makes continuity and communicatin more limited. They key is having playmakers. Adding Gold and D Williams, plus Ferguson instead of Kennedy will help and having a good pass rush will help even more. I don't see how they can avoid moving up from where they were. Champ is good for only 2-3 INT's a year because they don't throw as much his way, though after last year's high profile games where he got beat that might change.
