Browner could be out the entire season with a broken fore arm! Heard it on KSPK during the game. Wish him luck and a speedy recovery!

Ok, how many of you think that Brandon Browner could have been the best rookie coming out of our draft this year? It pisses me off to no end that we possibly lost him for the season.

i dont. Da. will be the best or fox or paymah, they all bring seperate covering skills that are good.
Browner wouldnt have played much while the other 3 IMO will all get a shared role at nickle.
IMO this is kinda a good thing, makes the roster cuts a lil easier for the coaches.

Well, he was not ready to play just yet. I am sorry he was injured, but he defintely could be the future FS. He needed a lot more reps and shanahan almost kicked him out of camp for "dogging it on ST's.

any chance paymah or foxworth can play safety? surely not as big as browner, but they are better atheletes than laseur.

ah, but in the few plays i saw him on tv today, i really thought that i was seeing a future probowler. obviously i got the homer glasses on. i realize that.

Brown got waived the next day after they signed him for Shabazz
this does suck though, but he was likely pratice suad fodder anyways

Browner was NOT PS fodder. Boy is too damn talented and good. This puts more heat on LeSeuer... please become worth a damn.

I agree. Browner elevated himself from fourth string to second in a matter of weeks. This is amazing considering he came late to camp and didn't know the playbook. I think he could be great for us.

If he was camp folder then MoC should have been gone the first day.

Browner on to the IR most likely, Roc or MoC may of just made the team.

Roc was gonna make the team anyway.
Curome Cox might benefit the most from this.
Browner going on IR is no big deal, he wasn't going to play much this year, likely was gonna make the team, but now instead of being deactive all season he can watch in his street clothes, give him another season and we could be looking at him to push for a starting position.

Fergy and Lynch will man the safety spots this year and in our dime packages, Foxworth or Paymah will come in with Williams, Bailey and Walls, then the two safeties. Browner wouldnt have seen much playing time unless there was an injury to one of the safeties at which point I would have felt much better having Browner step in than the Sewer.
I do like this kid and Im glad that it isnt a leg break. Sucks that he is gonna be on IR the whole year, but what can you do.

Yeah but he looked sketchy to make the final roster anyway. Considering he is switching positions a year on IR to learn and adjust won't kill him.

Absolutely, this is a blessing in disguise for Browner and now he will have more time to acclimate himself w/the defensive playbook, theories, and the rigors of life in the NFL...

Plus, he's going to be chomping at the bit to hit people by the time he gets back on the field. Can't want to see that.

Watch him play and you wouldve had no questions about his roster status. Him going on the IR only means a roster spot for a less talented player and an entire years less reps on the field... thats a blessing?
I hate to see somebody get injured but at least we can snake him away for the year on the PUP/Injured List. That will be golden. He is going to be a good player.

agree. maybe this is a good thing in a long run. i am sure someone would have snatched him fast if we cut him.

I read in the paper today six weeks. That's only four regular season games, so I wonder if they don't keep him. The way Lynch could get himself suspended you'd think they'd want the possition deeper than normal.

I wonder if the league office would give Lynch a discount if he prepaid 75K for fines?

Anyone have an update on Browner's arm? If he doesn't need screws, he should be able to keep running and attend meetings and all that.
I'm more concerned with the shoulder. Any update on his condition? These things happen. So far, we have had decent, if not great, luck regarding injury.
