Hopefully he'll take the entire Ohio GOP down with him...

"COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio Gov. Bob Taft, a lame duck leader and now a convicted criminal for state ethics violations, said there is still important work for him to do and he will not resign.

Taft said he can remain an effective governor despite his plea of no contest Thursday to charges that he failed to report numerous golf outings since taking office in 1999.

He is barred by law from seeking a third term next year."......

"The Bush administration reacted calmly to Taft's conviction."

Perhaps I should have named this "the crooked GOP governor's thread."

Pay to Play Scandal in GOP Governor's Office in Indiana. Of Course, the Hoosier Governor is a Former Bushevik Aide. 8/24

I'm just waiting for one little weasel in Ohio to finally get a pang of conscious, come forward, and say, "This is how I rigged the voting machines." I know he's out there somewhere, counting his 30 pieces of silver.

I'm going to look into this some more. I can believe that the mass media wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, but the New Yorker or the Atlantic would, in a heartbeat.

Interesting how the Florida Inspector General who was looking into the matter mysteriously "committed suicide," I thought.
