What we had like 250 yds rushing tonight. Im pretty much sold on Dayne that boy can carry the rock. Even thou Tater had 10 carrys for 60 yards he just does not look comfy to me YET.

MA looked very solid tonight, too. And he was running against the first-string defenders. This isn't taking away from what Dayne did in either of the games; he was impressive. But I don't know that one could demote MA either.... at least not based on tonight's game.

The offense in general looked very tough in that first series... I don't think they tried a single play that didn't work for a substantial gain. And what can I say about the starting defense? We had something like 168 yards of offense vs 0 for SF.

The October issue of Hooter's Magazine is spotlighting the Omane/Of1 tailgate. Apparently the magazine is already out as a fellow tailgater stopped by to tell us he saw our tailgate in the magazine. The copies have not hit the bookstores and hooters restaurants as of yet. I thought Hooters magazine was just a restaurant magazine but copies will be available at stores like Barnes and Noble, 7-Eleven's, etc.

I don't exactly know what pictures they will use or what they will write up as they asked several different Omaners about their tailgating experiences over the last year. I'm pretty sure they are going to use a pic from the Raider snow tailgate last year.

As far as a travel agent goes I personally don't use any but a friend of mine does. I'll give him a call and get you her number. I've heard good things about her.

Man, a friend of mine from work tells me..."Bra, I got season tickets and a golf game conflict so I can't go to Saturdays' Bronco game, would you like the Bronc/Colts tickets??" Well...my jaw just drops and I says "Sure...Absoflockinglutely" (PGversion). So he says, this was on Thursday, I forgot to bring 'em but I will on Friday. Now, I don't normally work Fridays, due to 4 10-hour days, but I'd stop by and pick up the ticks iffin he remembers. Friday rolls along... "Yeah man, I'm telling myself all morning while I prepare for work...Take the tickets in" but No Way...dude forgets again. "No worries, I'll TRY to get them into work by mid-morning and send you an e-mail".

T-minus about 60-80 minutes and it'll be too late to catch the start of the game much less find OF1...Sh!t.

Good thing I can still catch it on the tube or I'd be misearable and by default so would the wife...sickness and in health, good times and bad...

Moochers and Thieves can always be expected. Over time you will get a good feel for who is who. Everytime I've seen a picture of the bus, it's immaculate inside and out. Meck has spent a good chunk of change and hours of sweat to make it a masterpiece, and it's up to fellow maners to help out on things and help police the area.

It's enough he has to pay for bus upkeep, fuel, buys food and has to keep a semblance of order. He can't just get loaded. Filthy pigs need to be politely asked to leave. OF1 isn't some old school bus with the seats torn out and windows blacked with spray paint. I've been taken advantage of at times(Boating especially), and it's infuriating and ruins things.

Problem is, you have to politely ask them to behave, if it's a scene, then the bus gets keyed or some other asinine behavior.

Meck, I hate to say it, but just an observation from the time I was with you all last November.

I too noticed, especially after the game was over, that the money jars were FAR too exposed and unattended at times. There were several times that I observed the money completely exposed and if anyone really wanted to, they could have taken it.

As a suggestion, maybe there could be a bus "bouncer", or someone who can kind of keep a monitor on the situation when things get chaotic (and we all know that can happen quickly). Especially when the money comes into play. You guys have clearly been marked now, and it wouldnt suprise me to see someone try and do it again. Maybe a solution would be to have a designated hidden spot somewhere else (like the truck?) for the money.

I have been to a couple games. KC is coming down to Houston this year so I am there.

I'm not really thrilled about the idea of traveling 500 miles to watch a meaningless game. If KC is in the playoff hunt late in the year I might go up to KC.

What I really want to do is go to a playoff game. :(

Games in KC are awsome. The fans are real cool. Never gave me a problem. I try to go every year.
