Why is the Main Forum called General Discussion? I think the name should be be changed for the season to Pro Football Discussion.

General Discussion should mean general discussion. Which it does until the season starts, then it means something else.

In all sincerity I like the main board to be held to football discussion. So basically I'm trying to start trouble....

The boards should be divided like this:

-Broncos & Pro Football Main or "Mane" Forum - Only pro football talk from the start of training camp in July to after the Pro Bowl in February. Under this forum the tailgate, fantasy football, draft, and the rest should be kept the same way they are now.

-College Football Forum - There are enough college football fans here to make this forum active during the fall.

-Lounge - All sports discussion other than pro & college football, and any pop culture subjects like movies, music, television, etc. Merging the "other sports" and "off topics" forums will create more activity for both. Many American team specific sports message boards across the 'net have more active "lounge" or "off topics" forums than their main subject's forum.

-War, Politics & Religion - I guess you've got to have someplace for the extreme righties and lefties have a place to crap on each other and not mess up the other forums.

-Horses Butt - This board serves its purpose well and should stay.

-Mock's Forum - Mock can only post in this and the Politics forums. This way he can keep his post count up and other regulars don't have to read about his cats, farm, relatives, and all his other shyte on the main forum. Mock's followers can converse with him here.

No Slap.

See, when there is a poster that I cant stand, that I refuse to read posts for, I put him on ignore and I dont bitch about it.

Take Waffle and Bob for example.

People dont like mock, thats fine, dont like him. Good for you. But shut the **** up and put him on ignore and quit whining like a bitch about it. There are just as many posts talking about mock and his cat as mock has posted about his cat. Now thats irony.

I've heard it compared to spitting on a chimp in a cage. Who knew that could become addicting?

Please don't compare mock to Waffle, except perhaps to equate him to a pimple on Waffle's posterior. Waffle's talents at trollery are truly sublime. He causes more stir around here in one post than mock does in 1400.

Now you've done it! Taco has been working 24-7 to try and just keep the board breathing and along comes "can't you correct this flaw that has permeated the board for years now"?

I don't think there is enough regulation of what threads get moved to other sports discuission forums and which ones do not. Sometimes there are baseball threads that stay on the front page for days and then some threads get moved the minute they are posted. No consitency with what stays and what goes.

If you guys are going to enforce the moving of the non-football related threads, then be consistent with it and people will stop posting the threads in the general discussion forums.

Pipe dream?

Crap! This thread got Mock jacked cats, farm animals and all! Wait. You are telling me that we are whining about Mock haters whining about a guy that hasn't even posted here? Whoa. Maybe we should elevate Mock to the status of Internet virus?

You betcha.

Why? Because some fear their post about non-football related Bullshat will go unnoticed if it's not on the main page. Therefore, they ignore the rule and post away anyways.......it's always been like that and it'll always be like that because inconsideration runs too deep with some preventing them from following simple rules.

All the thread moving in the world won't stop it, It's just the way of the west.

I don't mind the threads getting moved, like you said its just the way of the west. My thing is that some baseball and non-football related threads stay for days in the general discussion forum and other threads, which are non-football related, get moved immediately.

Sometimes a baseball thread will be on the front page and another thread about baseball will be moved and the other stays. No consitency. Thats my two cents.

No, I ment people being unable to follow forum rules is just the way of the west, especially when it comes to posting football only threads.

I understand what you're saying...but I still think on the whole that this thing is no more than an exercise in futility and basically much ado about nothing.

I may be alone in that, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been around people upset about something where I absolutely fail to see what the big deal about it was.

Hogan, no one is upset, it is just plain and simple common sense. If a new poster comes on board and sees a baseball thread on the front page, he or she will feel it is okay to post another baseball thread on the front page. That is how it works.

I was just throwing in my two cents, nothing more nothing less. :gossip:

Actually, I don't think ANY baseball threads have been started on the main board since we went to the changeover. I know I haven't started any. Most of them got moved to the Other Sports forum. For some reason, Zach Duke's thread has proven as elusive for the moderators as his curveball has been for NL batters.

Oh, wait, my bad. Dumbass mock started a thread about Rafael Palmeiro. The one that referred to him as Palermo. I guess technially this could be called a baseball thread. Its pretty much proven that mock too stupid and self absorbed to follow the rules around here, though.

Ah Slap Man...didja you have to go and blow the Dukes cover? Ha!

and Gonzo, I wasn't talking about you specifically or anything...just some are real anal about this is all when IMO there's really nothing anyone can do about it.
