I wouldn't wish that on anyone (bad karma), even a Fader. Being a Bronco fan, all I can say is, been there, done that (too many $%&*^$* times to count).

My hope is that the Broncos establish the run game and put up like 300 yards on the ground. I would like Moss leaving the stadium without so much as a grass stain on his very expensive jersey....twice. Playoffs? Raiders? Only on Playstation.

I wanted to play the Raiders at their best. It's unfortunate to see anybody go down to injury.
I have always wondered though why Al Davis for years has not put more of a emphasis in pursuing Pro Bowl caliber linebackers. Who was their last great linebacker? Ted Hendricks? He wasn't even a homegrown Raider. Greg Biekert had a long, productive career but he wasn't a world beater. Their recent 1st round picks Rob Fredrickson and Napoleon Harris weren't busts, but they weren't standouts either.

I think the Broncs will run the ball more than usual this year to control the clock. Might even see Bradlee come in and run the option a few times.

This is really a big loss. This lb came on strong last year for Oakland and they were really counting on him to be a big part of their d this year.

Usually, the Fade posters try to come up with some kind of intimidating photo, as if we were all still back in the 70s. At least he could trade it in for a shot of one of those Faderettes in their little silver hot pants. That wouldn't be so bad.

Oakland's strategy looks to be load up vs the run on first and 2nd down with essentially a 5-2 look out of their 3-4 with the big outside backers playing stack end.

So there hoping the secondary will be able to handle the pass. Is the rookie from Nebraska starting?

I wear mine out, mainly b/c it is long and doesn't feel real comfortable tuck in. BTW, I don't have a beer belly, I have CFT's that will come in handy when I'm too busy to eat! ;D

Unfortunately I can see one of the Broncos cuts paying a lot for the Raiders this year.
Assuming Gold, Wilson, DJ, Pierce and Burns make the team, I expect we only keep one of:
Sykes
Chukwurah
Green
Steele
That is some pretty decent talent. (I do hope we keep Chukwurah)

If he was that bad, why was he starting? Oakland's _efence isn't going to be swiss cheese, more like split pea soup. You actually need a knife to cut swiss cheese. It only takes a spoon to go thru that D.

Like I said the Niners got 39 first Quarter yards and 2 first downs one on a roughing the passer call. Pre-Seson or not as I asked some Niner fans this week dont that worry you a little?

Back to the subject at hand.. Irons looked servicable out there last season when he got some snaps. Sam Williams has that Courtney Brown curse. I suspect Al is on the horn to Kevin Hardy though.
Irons is a Notre Dame guy so I suspect he has the grey matter to know where he's supposed to be.

Hardy would be a terrific pick-up...for a year, maybe.
I couldn't understand why KC, or for that matter Oakland hadn't already given him a look.
I suspect it's a money issue...maybe still is, I don't know

Hardy does look good on the cover of "Complete Linebacking" by Lou Tepper although there is a reason why he hasnt recieved a single call this offseason. He just doesnt have it anymore.

[QUOTE=SoCalBronco...there is a reason why he (Hardy) hasnt recieved a single call this offseason. He just doesnt have it anymore.[/QUOTE]
He is an interesting guy...a terror in college...drafted in the top 10 by Jacksonville and started slow, then dominated, then faded off before reviving somewhere else.
Plenty of talent, but he seems to lack the fire...always has.
I think $$$ were his only career motivation
