From what I've read, he's done very well through both camps.

I wanted to see McFadden play, but I missed most of the 1st preseason game b/c of a severe electrical storm in the area. I only saw like the 1st quarter.

I hate that new passing cone. Sure after time you get used to it but if you are rushed and you hit the wrong wr its picked.

I haven't even thought about paying 50 dollars for Madden 06. Besides the new flashlight, I bet Madden has the same exact presentation, graphics and animations as last year. Sorry, it's not worth my money.

Wait till you hear about MLB trying to get the rights to players names. That's right, you might have to pay a fee to list a players name along with his stats. MLB has one in court right now regarding Fantasy Baseball. They are trying to make you pay a license to run a Fantasy league directly to MLB.
How giving a players name and stats isn't public domain is totally beyond me.

It is really getting rediculous at the amount of money the owners are trying to squeeze outta the fans. Good thing im an avid baseball hater or i might get mad if that happened.

If MLB wins the case, the NFL will be right behind them. This guy was saying it might be 150 bucks to play Fantasy Football. 35 bucks in our league alone is 800 bucks.
True, you need a monkey to type out the stats, but give me a break. It used to be a hobby. I'm no IT wizard, but I imagine you get the stats and software will give each member his appropriate score.

If the NFL ever charged $150 for fantasy football, players would go back to the old school days of meeting together for a draft and tracking their own statistics, or at least I would.

Why would anybody in their right mind think that there was any chances of Madden flopping? That's like thinking the NFL's Sunday Ticket on Directv won't sell.

Hey im guessing you caught this on OTL otherwise known as Outside the Lines. Yeah they are trying to benefit and get more revenue off of Fantasy leagues etc. Would anyone pay 150 dollars to play in a fantasy league? I sure as hell wouldnt. :gossip:

I'm boycotting madden for the way EA and the NFL have taken all competition out of the market and forced players to pay 50 bucks for updated rosters.
Unfortunately boycotts don't work if it's only one dude doing it.

I'm boycotting. I rented the game from blockbuster and found myself just trying to hurry up and finish so I could take it back. I took it back a couple days early, it just didn't do it for me. I can't really explain what it was that I didn't like but I just got the sense that EA just kinda mailed this one is since they have no competition. I'll check out a college game next time.

It upsets me that people are buying this game....it's exactly the same as last year...they and the NFL have cut everybody out. This kinda sucks. I'm not buying it period.

At first I thought so too, but after playing it I realized that they a made alot of slight improvment that made it better overall. It more like a version 2005.5 the a true release 2006. Sometimes it felt that EA rushed out the new release without any thought of building on what they did in the past. IT not perfect but it better then Madden 2005.

I think EA is gearing towards next year when the xbox 360 & ps3(should be out by August) will both be out.

Speaking of Madden, EA Sports screwed Denver by not giving them two first round picks for the 2006 draft. Does anybody know of a good way to swindle that pick from Washington?
Which college players have you taken in the 2006 draft for the Broncos? If you have NCAA as well, it takes Madden to a whole other level.

so what can you import the NCAA rosters into a draft file for Madden or something?
forgive my dumbness but when you say a whole other level i have no idea as i have never
played NCAA

Yes! After completing a season on NCAA, you can save the file of graduating seniors and juniors declaring early. When you finish franchise on Madden, you have the option of loading that file for the NFL Draft. All of the big names are included such as Leinart, Bush (if he goes early), D'Brickshaw, Jacobs, D'Angelo Williams, Mercedes, Winston, Greenway, Bing, Kiawanua, Rodrique etc.

Yeah, that's only reason to buy Madden IMO. However, I would only get my copy when the price drops.
