I've been talking about securing our borders and coastlines for quite awhile now.
People who keep saying "there have been no terrrorist attacks since 9-11" don't get the big picture. Bush is doing almost zero on this problem. If Tancredo runs for president I will seriously consider voting for him.

Bill OReilly wants to secure the boarders would you vote for him ;)
I dont know what to think about some of these "Nuke" stories that are going around. Part of me thinks we better take it serious but why would they have not used them if they had them and they were here???

If al-Qaida has nukes,
why wait to use them?

One of the problems is that it's not clear that al-Qaeda can mount such an attack, if it's truly complicated and requires as much coordination and planning as one would think.
We've been told that al-Qaeda has morphed into semi-autonomous groups and cells, because of the killing or capturing of a lot of its leadership, and the effective removal of OBL as an overall coordinator. However, for the sort of attacks envisioned in the World Net Daily articles, al-Qaeda would have to have at least the same level of organization as it did to carry out the 9/11 attacks. The question is whether or not it still does.
If (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=45313):
"The cities chosen as optimal targets are New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Boston and Washington, D.C. New York and Washington top the preferred target list for al-Qaida leadership."
What would the US response be?

That maybe part of the "why have they not used them yet" OBL and crew obviously dont want to be in the mountains of Pakistan (if thats really where he is) when the order was given to blow these things. We would certainly lob a couple of bombs that way. Him and his fellows idiots would need to be well underground and off the radar.

What could it be? How do you retaliate against someone or groups of people that are scattered throughout many countries in the world?

I sure wouldn't want to err on the wrong side of the that question and I'm not buying any talk about how we are making progress against terror. If anything, their members and groups are growing in number.
There are some facts that should alarm a lot of people though. In the ME and other countries there are some very rich people who despise the U.S. And since we invaded Iraq I would wager that the number of those people has multiplied.

If they nuke... they'll pretty much bring an end to life on earth. It wouldn't be pretty.
Thankfully, I think they know that.

Im not so sure they do thats the scary part. They may very well expect us to be unsure of what to do. Like in who do we hit do we want to end the world. You cant fight an idiot with common sense. Example you cant defeat LAspinboy with facts he'll never understand you ;)

Hilarious!
That you honestly think you traffic in 'facts' (as opposed to right-wing talking points) is absolutely hysterical!

Problem is , we are dealing with people that dont have high value of life on earth , they believe a better life is waiting for them , when they pass on ...... We are not dealing with very bright people here
