Chiefs kicker is suspect in bar fight
BRIEFING: HUDSON, WIS.
River Falls police are investigating an altercation Sunday morning at a downtown bar involving Lawrence J. Tynes, kicker with the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to the department's records, 27-year-old Tynes is a suspect in a battery that took place at Boomer's Bar on Elm Street at about 1 a.m. Sunday. River Falls authorities declined Tuesday to release details on the episode.
Chiefs representative Bob Moore said that nothing happened Sunday morning that warrants an official comment. "It's my understanding that there were no arrests involved," he said.
Ted Roughton, owner of Boomer's Bar, would not talk about Sunday morning's events but did say that players and fans often mingle in his tavern.
In a separate incident, two other Chiefs players, Saou-saolii Siavii Jr. and Gregory Wesley, were arrested the same morning on suspicion of disorderly conduct in a Minneapolis hotel. Siavii, a defensive tackle, and Wesley, a safety, were taken to the Hennepin County jail and released later Sunday.
The Chiefs are in River Falls for their 15th annual training camp, held at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

I just got a lot worse. Tynes has now been charged with a felony for his fight. Apparently he broke the bouncers nose and in the state of WI, if a person receives a broken bone, it's immediately upgraded to felony charge.
This is getting way out of hand. They normally have an 11 pm curfew, but they apparently let the curfew slide that night and 3 freaking players get arrested, unbelievable.

He and Tynes were probably drinking beers and crying together, since he is a player coach.
In all seriousness, Bob are you worried at all? I haven't paid too much attention, but the things I've seen are a) Johnson looks good b) injuries to Bell, Gonzales, and some others and c) arrests. Granted it was only one game, but they didn't look too good against Minny either.

Salvali has a history. But more to the pt, Dick's lost it if he wasn't keeping a rein on these guys. The chorf's defense was abused, but Salvali still has the time and energy ..... Well, yeah, he's a jerk. But consider: you're a coach whose had 75-100 guys sweating their guts out for two a days for 3 weeks, now you give them a night with no curfew. What do you think they'll do? And, why on earth would you give them a no curfew in a town where they just got beaten in a pre-season game. Who do you think will be in those bars?
roflmfao. That's better than Eugene keeping his head in the game. At least R66v6s could say, "but the guys a vet whose been to the bowl, so I expected him to be a pro, not go out looking for a pro."

Chiefs' kicker charged with felony
August 17, 2005
ELLSWORTH, Wis. --Kansas City Chiefs kicker Lawrence Tynes was charged Wednesday with breaking a bouncer's nose in a bar fight, a felony with a maximum penalty of 3 1/2 years in prison.
Tynes, the NFL's first Scottish-born player, turned himself in Wednesday morning and made his first appearance in Pierce County Circuit Court on one felony count of substantial battery and one count of misdemeanor battery. He was released on a $15,000 signature bond.
He practiced with the team Wednesday. Practice broke up before word of the criminal charges got out.
The alleged fight took place early Sunday morning at a bar in River Falls, where the Chiefs have their training camp.
A police report said Tynes allegedly hit a bar patron in the face, then hit the bouncer in the nose.
Tynes was charged after police received medical reports, River Falls Police Capt. John Stapleton said. Wisconsin law provides for a felony battery charge if the victim has a bone broken.
Two other players, defensive tackle Junior Siavii and safety Greg Wesley, were arrested early Sunday after allegedly getting into a drunken confrontation with police in a Minneapolis hotel. Each is charged with one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct, and Siavii is also charged with a misdemeanor count of fifth-degree assault.
Tynes won the kicking job from veteran Morten Andersen last season but has struggled in training camp this year.

If you look closely, groundskeeper willie, errr, I mean, Tynes is sporting the newest KC Chiefs practice attire consisting of a skirt-like garment with Chief ketchup and mustard plaid.
League scouts have been quoted as saying the chef players love the new attire and it's beffitting considering how they've been playing defense the last couple of seasons.

It's pretty tough to respect someone who cries that they are being unfairly treated because they are a woman. Then go on to use pee pee size as some sort of defense.
I understand why you did it. But if it is that easy for you to resort to it, then why critisize someone else?
Besides, I thought you were a little better at rolling with the punches.
On a site where porn stars are used as avatars, and sex is spoken of between men and women, as well as female jokes, male jokes and the like.
I find it self serving at best that you would finally find a chiefs fan to bash as sexist. It doesn't take a physics major to figure out who's ego is hurting here. Either that, or you're just running out of ammo.
