What's the deal with all the hamstring injuries? Getting a little concerned about the number of players with them. As most know they can linger on for most of the season.

What more can be done to reduce them? Weak thread I know, but evidently something of a concern to me.

There are several reasons they occur, especially early in camp. Getting in football shape, everyone wakes up stiff. Stretching is importand as heck. You might even stiffen up between the two practices. Players don't want to be considered slackers, and if it's tight, will try to play thru it, especially if they are desperately fighting for a roster spot. Players might not realize they are dehydrated. You add in all those factors, combine a few and boom. Like so many things like a typical car wreck or plane wreck, several factors combined can make an event when any factor in of itself wouldn't.

Let's not forget that many of them are "tweaks", meaning guys could play but don't beause the preseason is a waste. Bailey and Warren each practiced Friday despite not playing Saturday. Lepsis is the one that worries me the most because our OL is razor thin as it is.

I have been wondering the same thing. I wonder if its "the revenge of the BEAST".

I remember Kaylore saying how much water Lelie was drinking and he has'nt had problems. They were a problem for him before.
