Hey gang...

There are some ghosts in the system that I'm going to try to clear out with a fresh install tonight... I just wanted to let people who are having problems know that I'm doing things to try and get it all squared...

Also, post your thoughts on how the server handled during the game... I'd like to get the feedback... The chat room was jam packed. I counted 40 at one time... That's great!

Are others finding the chat room type faded and hard to read?

I was following the game via the board and the chatroom from work and it was smooth.

As always Taco, you rule.

That's what I thought...is there a way to put a space between posters...it would be easier to read?

I can't post threads in Firefox.

I can post threads in Internet Explorer.

This is the only board with this problem.

Interesting... I think FireFox might be the problem that people are having with threads...

Damned inferior browsers... ;)

Chiefsplanet and all other forums work flawlessly in Firefox. Yeah, I'd say the problem is on your end.

And firefox worked flawlessly before the server move.

You're wrong... According to my support forums, there are a lot of forums that experience problems with Firefox... I don't know that this posting new threads problem is a FireFox deal... I was mostly joking about that. What I do know is that you can't post threads in Firefox. But you can post threads in Internet Explorer. ;)

/I'm guessing it has less to do with the server move, and more to do with the upgrade to the latest software...

Eh, whatever. There's not a site I visit daily that has problems with Firefox. Except this one.

Other than it's an inferior browser, neither do I... ;) (/half kidding... Tabbed browsing rocks, but the problem is too many buggy extensions)

IE7 is going to put it to bed anyway... It had a nice little run, but It'll go the way of Netscape soon...

Don't think so, TJ. I don't use FireFox and I still can't start a new thread. I have two computers - one has Explorer and one has Avant (Avant's basically just a shell that sits on top of Explorer). My computers have totally different setups and I can't start a new thread on either of them. I also tried a computer at the library with the same results. I've tried cleaning out temp files, cookies, and changing my security settings (popup blockers, anti-virus). No luck so far.

I don't really use extensions.

As for IE7, early reports are it's nothing but a bad imitation of Firefox.

I really didn't want to get into an IE/FF debate. Yikes!

Maybe from Firefox lovers...

Plus, that's pretty weak criticism, considering IE7 is going to bank on RSS.

Just posted new thread to main forum - it's working now! Hasn't worked last two days, but looks good to go now. I deleted the thread as it was just a test and not a football topic. Thanks, TJ. Whatever the problem was, it appears to be okay now.

Time to hit Taco Bell...

I'm so ticked off... I dropped my phone today, and my 2GB smart chip popped out of it and jumped under the Toyota... I ended up backing over it not realizing it... Now I've got a small piece of plastic with some metal inside it, rather than an actual memory chip...

For the record I've been using the new board fine. There have been zero problems. I've been using firefox and have Norton's turned on. Everything was fine for the game, though I generally was busy watching and not typing so much.

Haven't seen anything yet in IE7 that's different than FF offers. Security and speed should be the biggest user points IMO and FF rules over IE in that area.
Opera is even a little faster but it doesn't have some of things I like in FF yet.

By the way, had no problems lately starting threads or posting using FF.
