Yeah, it's mental masterbation, but I was wondering how different posters would rank various teams according to Love, Like, Hate, want to pull an Al Zaquari and get out the hacksaw.... I find this hard, but whatever, I will give it a try. I suppose some homer will call me a traitor, but take a crack at it.

1+++. Denver Broncos ( Because I said so)

2. NE Patriots ( grew up in New England and I like all NE teams especially the Sox)

3. Minnesota Vikings ( lingering fondness due to Bud Grant, one class act)

4. San Diego Chargers (I don't hate the SD Chargers when they are not affecting the Broncos)

5. Dallas Cowboys (I used to like the Cowboys back in the days of Tom Laundry, another class act.)

6. Chicago Bears (I don't hate the Bears)

I love the Broncos. Kind of follow the Eagles a little bit because my 9 year old son is a huge fan. I want them to win so my son is happy. I don't care about other 28 teams. I hate the final two teams, the Raiders and Chiefs.

It's actually hard for me to really hate the Chefs, (altho Boob has really helped in my recovery), because Uncle Bob taught me football on his lap and I was born east of Omaha. My dad and I went to see Ed Podolak when he was drafted out of Iowa, he lived a mile away, and he signed my ball. He was really tired but happy he was drafted so high, had a great career till he busted his knee. He still does radio for the Chefs. This is like 1966 or so. I can barely remember it except for Bob dumping me cursing Lamonica. Then Granny would tell him to pipe down and go back to making a pot of mashed potatoes to feed an army. We would look at each other and giggle. We were hooked and knew it.

Did that leave a permanent mark.

Oh Jesus. Nice catch. My football. How amusing. My balls are just fine, just underworked and in need of service. I'm never afraid to laugh at myself.

Okay, I'm game.

After the Broncos, the teams I am okay with are (in no particular order):

-New England (although I am sick - SO SICK - of Boston sports fans that I find myself pulling against their teams just to spite them. It's like, "You like the Red Sox. They hadn't won a World Series in a long time. They finally won, and you are very happy. WE GET IT! Now go away." And I swear, the bandwagon thing is every bit as bad as it was for the Cowboys back in their heyday. Everyone is a Red Sox fan now. It's sickening.)

-Indianapolis (Crucify me, but I like Peyton Manning. Their fans have been obnoxious the past few years, though.)

-Green Bay (Ditto with Favre. And I admire the unique situation they have with team ownership and the support of fans in such a small community.)

-Vikings (More so now, with Randy Moss gone.)

-Detroit (I like Mooch.)

Then, teams that I dislike, or even hate (probably pretty much in order):

-Kansas City (I hate the city. I hate the state - the whole "show-me state" thing just irritates me. It's like a message to the world, "WE ARE A BUNCH OF DISTRUSTING INBREDS!" I hate their players. I hate their colors. I hate their self-righteous, hypocrite of a coach. I hate their mulleted, camaro-driving fans. I hate the city's airport. I hate. I hate. I hate.)

-Oakland (There isn't much to say here that wouldn't be stating the obvious.)

-San Diego (Only because they are a division rival. Otherwise, they haven't been consistently good enough to hate too much. Shottenheimer helps on the hatred scale, though.)

-Dallas (Just arrogant and obnoxious.)

-Cleveland (I begin to forget how much I don't like them - what, with them being a disgrace of a franchise, and all - and then I go visit some of their fans messageboards.)

-Pittsburgh (Bill Cowher spits too much.)

-Atlanta (There is something about Jim Mora, Jr that just bugs me. For one, last year after playing him, he was commenting on the cheap shot on John Lynch when he said, "It's sort of ironic that that team would whine about cheap shots with the reputation they have. Payback's a b****, I guess." What an ignorant comment, considering that guy that taught the Broncos supposed cheap shot ways was now teaching it to Mora's team.)

-Buffalo (I lived up there in 1989, 1990, and 1991. I came away convinced that the original settlers of the area must have been a brother and sister tandem from Kansas City. They were all backwards, and they all seemed inbred.)

-Jets (Anyone remember how their fans acted before the divisional playoffs in '98-'99? Imbeciles.)

-Baltimore (I started hating them after watching HBO's Hard Knocks thing a few years back. Brian Billick and Tony Siragusa were all I needed to add them to my list.)

-Jacksonville (I'll never get over '97.)

-Seattle (Residue from when they were still in the AFC West.)

-St. Louis (Three reasons: 1) They occupy the same state as the Chiefs; 2) They were once coached by the same self-righteous hypocrite that now coaches the Chiefs; and 3) Georgia Frontiere.)

I'm glad I could get all of that off my chest. I feel better now.

Love the Broncos of course.

I can tolerate the Saints as long as they are a bonus to my NOLA visits. I don't believe in following two teams and splitting my loyalities.....but if I'm in town and they're playing anyone but Denver, I'll pull for them for that game only. I wouldn't mind seeing them win something at least once in awhile either.

The rest of the teams that I don't outright hate, I consider nonentities.

I outright hate the following (in order):

The Raiders
The Cowboys
The 49ers
The Chiefs
The Redskins
The Dolphins
The Ravens
& The Colts
