Philadelphia Eagles: With Terrell Owens perhaps having played his last game in Philadelphia and Todd Pinkston out for the season, the Eagles need wide receiver help and are looking for ways to get it.
The Trenton (N.J.) Times reported Thursday the Eagles, who have two extra fourth-round picks in the 2006 draft and lead the NFL in available salary cap room, are interested in the Packers' Robert Ferguson and Donald Driver, the Browns' Andre Davis and the Falcons' Peerless Price.
According to the Times, Ferguson made the short list because he knows the West Coast offense and the Packers are deep at the position. The Eagles would also not like to face Ferguson in the playoffs again after he caught two TD passes in an '03 game.
The Eagles could also be in search of a running back, and the Packers could be looking to deal Najeh Davenport before he becomes an unrestricted free agent in March.
The Eagles have several defensive players who might tempt the Packers into a trade, including Roderick Hood, Matt Ware and Mark Simoneau.
The Times reported that Packers offensive coordinator Tom Rossley said the team couldn't afford to trade Ferguson, but GM Ted Thompson, who enjoys having extra draft picks, would make the final decision.
maybe we could send them Quentin Griffin/Mike Anderson/Ron Dayne
