Nick Eatman, of DallasCowboys.com, reports the Dallas Cowboys will receive a sixth-round draft pick in the 2007 NFL draft from the New York Jets in exchange for CB Peter Hunter. The compensation was set when Hunter was released by the Jets earlier today (August 10).

I thought it said on ESPN that Pete Hunter was cut. I knew you liked Peter Hunter, I was going to bring it up but I didn't think it was the same guy.

Exactly. He was Cut and now can be signed without compensation for CHEAP. He played Real well opposite Terance newman in 2003 and then did his knee. I am wondering if its still problematic. If it is the Jets got raped because of a poor physical.

I was hoping you wouldn't say Ray Mickens.... I like Hunter, surprised he was cut, why was he? they cut he, Mickens and Derek Pagel (who was signed by Dallas)... I just don't see us needing to sign any DB's right now.
