Denver Broncos
What We Learned

After Monday's poor offensive breakdowns (five turnovers), the entire offense watched and analyzed film of their performance. Yesterday they came back out and simply reversed their fortune by scoring six times in their first seven tries. The offense was keyed by first-team stars Jake Plummer and Ashley Lelie.

Notables

No. 2 TE Stephen Alexander practiced with the first team while No. 1 Jeb Putzier worked with the second team. The team does use two-tight end sets and sometimes gets their one TE to sprint downfield like a third receiver. While Alexander's hands haven't set the world on fire recently, the team is excited about his blocking, which had Plummer smiling.

What We Learned

First-round pick Derrick Johnson arrived at camp yesterday morning in time to be thrown into the action as if he hadn't yet missed a day in camp. Johnson didn't mind and he looks forward to improving every day.

Oakland Raiders
What We Learned

Wide receiver Randy Moss is one of the best players in the game at his position. The same is true for CB Charles Woodson. The two will practice against one another and that, according to Moss, "... will make us better." That also means that neither should be too worried any given Sunday when the competition doesn't measure up to their own respective reputations.

Key Injuries

Wide receiver Jerry Porter strained his left hamstring and was scheduled for a MRI. Norv Turner doesn't believe the injury is serious.

San Diego Chargers
What We Learned

Tuesday morning's practice was focused on special teams and after a slow start and some passionate words of encouragement from coach Marty Schottenheimer, rookie Darren Sproles and Nate Kaeding were the headliners. Sproles wowed the crowd with some exciting returns while Kaeding made all the kicks look boring, splitting the uprights every time.

Key Injuries

Schottenheimer reports that none of his offensive players will be out of practice for any extended period of time: wide receiver Reche Caldwell (hamstring), wide receiver Malcolm Floyd (calf), tight end Ryan Krause (foot) and tight end Justin Peelle (hamstring).
