I agree . I think Al will be using the passing game to set up the running game and out score , the other team ..... Chiefs D I dont have a pulse on yet ... This time last year I knew they would suck and told every chief fan I could find that they would , but I suspect a vast improvment from the Chiefs D , meaning instead of giving up a Mile to Denver's running game they will only give up a half mile ;D

If Oakland is going to be a player this year we will know by week 2. If KC goes into their house and beats them, than they will be looking at an 0-3 start. If each of the first 3 teams puts up 35+ on them then they will be looking at a 5 win season at best. Moss is not going to be a happy camper at 0-3 and Kerry may be looking at the bench.

KC will be here in week 3 and if they win here they could run away with the Division as they have the most favorable schedule in the West. I think a sweep of KC is a must for us this year.

Admittedly, I'm trying to rile up a dip****...however.....

Sandy Eggo has the best back in the league(IMO) and the Rookie Sproles will be a very solid backup-3rd down back.

Holmes and Johnson are easily one of the top 1-2 punches in the league. Holmes isn't probably quite the back that Tomlinson is when both healthy, but has been one of the top performers, if not THE top performer in the league the last 3 seasons when not injured.

Oakland's Running game has been pretty 'iffy' at best, but Jordan has shown himself to be a tough runner between the tackles and is quick enough to do some damage outside the tackles. I'll admit that Oakland could finish lower in rushing than Denver, but I think Lamont Jordan was a big upgrade for their running game.

Denver's answer to improving their running game this offseason, was to trade away their best back from last season, when Griffin is coming off of an injured knee, Anderson hasn't done anything of note for 3 years, and the 2 backs they brought in via FA and the Draft, can't outrun the Horrible DLine FAs they brought in(outside of Engleberger, who I think is legit upgrade). Color me unconvinced that Bell is a supah-stah. At this point, can you even say who the starter will be? Now, tell me how "Rb to be named" isn't going to be dueling with the Raiders for lowest Producing Running game in the AFCW.

I think we're in a better situation this year on our running game than last year at this time. Remember, nobody knew who was going to replace Portis. This year, we have a guy that will *probably* be the starter in Bell who managed to get some game experience last year. We'll see if Anderson has anything left in the tank. If he does, watch out. Dayne is still an unknown commodity in the Denver system. We'll be fine with the running game...
