Raiders.com reports the Oakland Raiders have signed DT Lorn Mayers of NFL Europe. According to NFLEurope.com, Mayers will make history as the youngest player ever to be signed by an NFL team. Mayers said: "It's amazing. I've gone from delivering sofas to the NFL in the space of six months. I hope to use what I've learned in NFL Europe with the Berlin Thunder to make an impact on the Raiders. I'm going to work really hard to achieve my dream of playing in the NFL." Mayers, who weighs in at 342 pounds, was first spotted by NFL scouts in the United Kingdom at a youth football summer camp in 2003. He turned 20 years old June 6.
