Just out of curiosity...how many of you on this board were alive, much less a Bronco fan when these guys were playing? This was the first Bronco team I got to watch. Who goes back farther? ~Popps~

I fixed it...

I don't remember the first team I watched... I grew up with the Broncos on the tube, and as a kid, I'd get excited when my Dad would get excited. "TOUCHDOWN!" I remember loving to hear my Dad yell those words and I'd get excited with him. In 1983 I was in the third grade. That's about the time that I started paying attention to the game, and with a Rookie at the helm, things were pretty exciting. I remember my Dad and his friends talking about Elway, and I picked up on my Dad's enthusiasm about him. Been a Broncos nut ever since...

I met him at a wheelchair charity basketball game in '70 with Mike Current, Chip Myrtle...I think Al Denson and Pete Duranko were there too...they signed autographs free for kids and passed out free hotdogs and sodas. They had a Bronco night where they showed the highlight reel (pretty short) and the players mingled with the fans for about an hour...all free of course.

Times change. :sickortir

Lets see, in 1969 I was 9 yrs old and wasn't really paying attention to football yet. I started getting into football in 1976 watching the Broncos and have been addicted ever since....

me too!

I became a fan sometime during the '84 season that ended with a playoff loss to the Steelers. I couldn't wait for the '85 season to start, and it's been like that every offseason along with an ever-growing hunger for the Lombardi.

The first Bronco game I ever saw was on television, and they were playing against the Dallas Texans. (That was the KC Chiefs, before they moved).

But in fairness, I didn't really start following them until about '65 or '66, and I didn't start following them rabidly until '67.

I've done 25 years. I was 3 back in 77 but I do remember alot of orange stuff around town. Speaking of old timers. I'm still looking for OLD pictures of the stadium/fans/tailgates etc to add to OF1. I have a special space on the bus that I'm planning to dedicate to Mile High. If you have some that I could get copies of that would be great!

Started really following the team in 1970. Floyd Little, Rich Jackson, Fran Lynch, Mike Haffner, and Billy Thompson were my favorite players.
