Two-a-days are comin soon...
Not sure if you guys follow your local HS teams but i figured itd be cool to have a thread talkin about how your old team or local team is doing. And if there are any really good player we should watch out for in the future.
I play for Centennial in champaign Il. 6A and we have a chance to win state this year. All the seniors this year were on the J.V. team that went undefeated and out scored opponents 296-18 of course Varsity is totally different but last year was a down year as far a seniors go and we know we can have somthing real special especialy our defense wich dominated last year even with a weak senior class. We have no real standout player just alot of good players. Although we do have a corner/WR who is 6'1" runs a 4.3 flat and is the 4th strongest person on the team. We realy need some juniors to step up in fill in the gaps though as a we have 8 starters returning on offense and 7 on defense.

HS football is great to watch. I used to go almost every Friday night and still go to 3-4 games a year.

Mock's kitten lost in the regionals the other day. She smacked the ball, but the big star had a bad night and they lost in extra innings.
She was one hot tamale. She was mad. She's some sort of Amazon. She puts war paint on. heh.
Lisa hit a double to tie the game tho. It just wasn't enough. She's just a freshman, but is an Amazon woman or something, I'm not sure... :giggle:
I hate to brag, but she's all over the local paper. She's the point guard, a star cross country runner, star softball player. She's 15.

Few things are as pure as high school football.
KBronco76 gets to live it up as a player, but coaching can be equally as rewarding...
Good luck to you and Centenial this year, I'm not too far out of the area.

I got three concussions as a safety and hung up the cleats. I hardly had pubic hair and some guy with a beard knocked me stone cold out. I was 98 pounds. Then I broke my shoulder to shreds on a halfback option pass. My coach was this huge dude, 6-7, thin, but a fine man, a science teacher. He picked me up and carried me like a baby off the field. I got busted up big time on that play. Doctor told me my playing days were over. This might explain my incoherent rants.
I started to mature at 16, but it I was broken down. I had alot of fun, but playing what amounted to LB on a losing team was hard on me. I was just too small, and I was taking a beating. I made 11 tackles one game.

I miss playing ball...I will try to see a Blue Springs\Rockhurst game this year. Last year was the first time in a long time one of the teams didn't win the title. This year's squad doesn't have as much pressure on them as some of the past teams have had. They will be in the big class Missouri state title hunt for sure.
