As a war of words between Eagles president Joe Banner and Terrell Owens heats up, T.O. told CSS SportsNite in Atlanta on Thursday that he is willing to leave Philly if the team won't redo his contract, which still has six years remaining on a $49 million deal.
"It doesn't bother me," Owens said about Banner's comments. "When it all boils down to it, I'm doing what's best for my family. Not to stir anything up, but I don't really have to play for the Eagles, to be honest. I can go play with any other team and still be productive.
"If [Banner] feels that way, then get rid of me," he continued. "I have no gripes, no ill feelings toward any of the players on that team. This is business. They know how business is conducted. I've told them what I'm doing is for my family. If they can't understand that -- and if they feel like I'm a no-nonsense guy -- he wants to talk about Drew and I -- if we're problems then I feel like we can be adults about it. Trade me. Release me, and we can part ways like adults."
Owens has a specific idea of where he'd like to be traded.
"If Joe Banner can give Drew Rosenhaus permission to seek a trade," he told SportsNite, "who knows, Atlanta might be on the list of people that I could play for."
Owens' comments came after Banner criticized the receiver and agent Drew Rosenhaus in the Philadelphia Daily News.
"If we were dealing with somebody who was looking at this logically and was going to come to a common-sense conclusion, you'd say [he'll report to camp on time]," Banner told the Daily News. "But you're dealing with two people here who, frankly, don't think in common-sense terms. Anything can happen. They're not going to necessarily do what makes sense."
Rosenhaus told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the odds of Owens reporting to training camp on time are "50-50." Owens himself told CSS SportsNite on Thursday that, despite the possible fines, he likely won't attend camp. The Daily News, citing a source in the NFL players' association with knowledge of Owens' contract, reported that the Eagles could fine T.O. five-sixths of the $2.25 million signing bonus Owens received after being traded last year, meaning Owens could be out $1.87 million.

Then why the hell did he cry like a little girl when he got traded to the Ravens?
Jesus, I hope he doesn't play this year. No baseball for Bonds this year, no football with TO would be just fine with me.

I still can't believe that this ahole said this. If this were true, he would have taken the trade to the Ravens instead of complaining that he needed someone like McNappy to throw the ball to him. And he wouldn't have been making the comments about Garcia that he did.
I hope he tries to drive Winslows bike and crashes and tears his leg up too.

You know, if he does hold out, there will be an interview every Sunday and Monday during the football season. Then heaven forbid if the Eagles don't make the playoffs or the NFC championship game without him.
But with this, I would allmost love to see TO hold out and not play, then Philly wins the SB without him, and TO doesn't get a ring, then the Eagles up and trade his butt to Detroit or some other crappy team.

Tentatively Yes. I am planning on going to both SD games. Cant wait to meet you, Sass, Meck, and our regional Broncos down here including Bronco LB 52, CBF1 etc. Im hoping to drag Pez down to the game as well.
I cant think of a better way to spend the New Year's weekend than with my family from the Mane enjoying the game and partying it up (although i am not much of a partier) on New Year's in the Gaslamp District.
Dont worry, i havent forgotten your 26/84 "Flava" jersey. Honestly i have to get something flavor clown related for you for that game. The Sharpe/Portis thing is kinda outdated, maybe Clarett/Fergy would be more appropriate. Ha!

This clown would like nothing more than to be released. He's allready bagged his signing bonus. I guess the reason he didn't have a problem signing a contract the NFLPA advised against is he never planned on playing out the contract in the first place. If released, he can simply bag another signing bonus. I wouldn't say he could go to "any team", because I'm sure he's blacklisted by most.
As Wabbit said, the birthing of a Raider firsthand is facinating.

What I don't understand is why do players like TO and Javon Walker sign 5/7 year deals in the FIRST place when they know, they as total a$$clowns, will want a new deal with more money every two years?
The problem is these players sign a 5/7 year deal with a huge signing bonus that is proportional to the number of years on the contract.
I totally understand if a player outplays his 3rd/4th round contract but that's why those draft picks from later rounds get low signing bonuses with LESS years so they can hit the market earlier and make up the money if they're good enough.

What team has the CAP to quench his thirst? Just seems like an odd time of year to be stomping your greedy lil feet.
The real problem is his agent and if his unreasonable contract demands are met he will have NFL players standing in line to sign with him to get them an obscene contract too. The owners must stand united against this threat to financal responsibility.

Minnesota could sign him and has the cap space, but he's worse than Moss. I doubt they want another tempremental WR. TO is already refering to the Eagles as "they" like he's not even on the team. It's amusing when he says "any team" but throws out the Falcons immediately after. He's such a prick it's unbelievable. They should trade his ass to Cleveland. Last year it was the "I want to play for a winner" show. He's so alienated everyone in Philly, (by design I think), that I don't see how he can stay there, which is exactly what he wants. The Eagles should chip in and get him a crotch rocket and fix the brakes.

Walker booting camp
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

A letter agent Drew Rosenhaus received last week from Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson stating that the team would not address a contract extension for receiver Javon Walker or allow him to seek a trade solidified the Pro Bowl receiver's decision to boycott training camp.
Rosenhaus said Wednesday that after he received the letter from Thompson, he and Walker decided their best option was to continue to withhold the receiver's services from the Packers. Veterans aren't scheduled to report until next Wednesday and take the field for the first time two days later, but Rosenhaus didn't see much hope for Walker being there on time.

I can perhaps understand TO's twisted reasoning because he's nearing the end of his career. He knows that Philly have nothing but toe jam at WR behind him and they're are oh so desperate for another crack at it, so why not take a shot and get your last big payday?
But Walker's holdout is just downright moronic. Favre has Donald Driver, Robert Ferguson and Bubba Franks there to pick up the slack so Walker won't be a huge loss.
Rosensleaze usually does this a year early before the real deal can be signed/renegotiated, kinda like ejaculating prematurely so that teams get warned about his intentions.

I see it just the opposite. TO just signed last year and is making millions every year. Walker is going into his 4th year and only making 500,000.
EDIT: Walker may be looking for a trade knowing Favre is going downhill fast.
It would be best for the NFL if somehow the owners could find a way to black ball Rosenhaus.

TO had the worst agent of all time last year. First the guy doesn't put the paper work in on time, which cost TO a ton of money. He would have gotten a better deal if he had hit the open market. Then the guy gets TO a contract where he only gets a $2.25 million bonus, with a $7 million rost bonus after '06. WTF?!?! $2.25 mil up front?!?! What the hell was that moron thinking? This is worse than Ricky Williams' rookie deal. He should have gotten the $9.25 million upfront. He's too good of a player to have a bonus with two payments. Those type of deals are meant for players with huge question marks. Plummer had to sign that type of deal. He was a risk. Champ Baily didn't have to sign that type of deal because there are no question marks about that guy. He got his money upfront. TO is a Champ type of player. No question marks. TO could put up two good years and the Eagles could still let him go without paying that roster bonus. They could say he's 33 and is an injury risk.
But all that is TO's fault. He hired a horrible agent, and it cost him big time. I heard a few months back that all TO really wanted was that $7 million roster bonus to be paid now instead of next year. I think he sees the writing on the wall. If he plays next year and gets injuried he's not seeing the rest of that contract. Sucks for him. He shouldn't have signed a horrible contract.
The Eagles are getting over on TO, and they got him by the balls. It's kind of funny. TO has to play for them. If he doesn't he has to repay a ton of money. Remember, he not only has to repay what he was given, but he has to pay the porition the IRS took. Uncle Sam ain't givin' money back because TO was dumb enough to sign a bad contract. I don't think TO can afford a year long holdout.
I was always thinking that the Eagles couldn't afford to trade TO because of his signing bonus. I thought they'd take a big cap hit. But if he only got a $2.25 million bonus, the cap hit wouldn't be all that big. A couple of million. If they have the cap room it might be smart to trade him.

Three days after pleading guilty to a DUI charge, former Seattle Seahawks receiver Koren Robinson was in jail Thursday for allegedly violating a court order to abstain from alcohol. Kirkland Police accused Robinson of being intoxicated when he showed up Wednesday morning to serve a one-day jail term on the DUI conviction.
:sickortir
Police confirmed Thursday night that they were holding Robinson in jail on a $25,000 cash bond, and that Robinson has an Aug. 4 court date in Kirkland Municipal Court.
Robinson denied the allegation Thursday in Kirkland Municipal Court, his attorney said.
The attorney, Jon Scott Fox, explained that the Aug. 4 hearing is to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support the allegation.
Two officers said they smelled alcohol on Robinson’s breath when he reported to jail.
If guilty, Robinson would likely face additional punishment. The DUI conviction carried a 365-day jail term, with all but one day suspended.
The Seahawks released Robinson last month following a series of off-field incidents.
Robinson, 25, was a first-round draft choice in 2001.

He really needs to get off the sauce, I have no doubt in my mind that alcohol is the reason has hasn't been nearly as productive as he could've been.
He rehabs and he has Pro Bowl written on him, but the choice is his.

I mute the Flavormen when they appear on my screen....so hearing him wouldn't be an issue.....if he sits out, there would be no "highlights" of his self-promotional BS antics.......another definite plus.
The rest of your post I'm with you on 100%
Unless he's in your FF....... :sickortir, but i would be willing to make the sacrifice.

It's the delirium Tremens that cause him to drop all those balls ;)
Robinson obviously has an alcohol problem, might be good of him to take some time off to get that straightened out and see what kind of career he can have from then on.

After the super bowl I was ready to believe this guy had a chance to turn things around. What a great performance!!! I was thinking the world is at your beckoning now, public appearances, endorsements, people with millions of dollars knocking down your door to give it to you to say something about their product and a complete turn-a-round from sports idiot to sports hero and icon.
Boy, was I ever dreaming!
