I'm taking some of this out of context, but line it up and here's what you still get:

http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=963305

Terror mastermind Osama bin Laden is probably still alive, Pakistani President Gen. Pervez Musharraf told ABC News in an exclusive interview. But, he added, if bin Laden is in Pakistan, agents from other countries will not be allowed in to capture him.

...

Asked whether Pakistan would turn bin Laden over to the United States if he was found in Pakistan, Musharraf said he would "have to see what happens."

...

With recent polls showing that some 50 percent of Pakistanis support bin Laden, Musharraf rejected the idea that his countrymen support terrorism.

...

Musharraf said Americans have a distorted sense of Pakistan, seeing it a nation full of extremists.

"[T]he vast majority is moderate," Musharraf said. "… the U.S. must understand that the vast majority here are moderate. If they were extremists I wouldn't be popular here."

So we can't go in and get him. And if the Pakistani's get him, maybe they'll turn him over and maybe not. And although 50% of the country supports bin Laden, the "overwhelming majority" are nonetheless "moderates" ...

But, he added, if bin Laden is in Pakistan, agents from other countries will not be allowed in to capture him.

Remember what Goss (Smirk's political operative running the CIA) said when asked about this?

He said we couldn't go in after Bin Laden because of our need to 'respect national sovereignty.'

I just about fell out of my chair laughing at the irony.

Pakistan Rounds Up The Usual Suspects

Facing criticism by both the UK and US that his country is not doing enough to combat terrorism, Pakistani President Musharraf launched a crackdown on militants that netted two hundred suspected terrorist sympathizers. The London bombing suspects all had ties to Pakistan, and western intelligence sources believe Osama bin Laden is in that country.

I suspect he is in Pakistan.

He would be a hot political potato for Musharraf if they took him alive.

At the same time, Bin Laden & his ilk already want Musharraf's head for supporting the US vs. the Taliban, so it's not exactly like they are friends.

I don't think you're alone on that account.

(You're just one of the few who are honest enough to say it out loud.)

They're all angling for the F-16's, everybody is in that region.

Edit: You, me, everybody intelligent would be doing the same.

Quotes

"Saddam was a brutal scumbag, but he was a secular brutal scumbag and women's rights were one of the few bright spots of his years in power...what irony. Here we are in some kind of "war" against Islamic extremism and what do we do? We knock off one of the region's only secular governments, leaving a vacuum that Shiite fundamentalists (AKA 'values voters') are only too happy to fill. The result is that now, more than $200 billion dollars and countless lives later, we have a Shiite-dominated government cozying up to Iran's leading Mullahs. And there's just no satisfaction in the fact that we told you so beforehand."
