I have windows media player and i'am not really happy with it do any of your have another player you would recommend that is free and will easily transfer my tunes to it?

Winamp or Sonique is what i use for mp3's

Use the earlier version of WMP. 6.4.
I use winamp for mp3s, and WMP for video.
