Yes sir...you can't find this quality kind of posting over at Chiefsplanet.

On CP you get posts like "Double wide decorating tips," "What size bathtub do you need to hold a Camaro Transmission?," "I just got new Red Fuzzy dice for the Duster," "Mullets, and the men and women who wear them," and the coup de gras "I just got laid last night, and I don't feel Baaaaaad about it at all." rofl

...on their way to a better life picking fruit in Missouri...usually traveling in large, windowless 18-wheelers in families of ten

Make fun of them all you want, wabbit... the fact is that they've moved in and set up shop. They're officially yours now. They are your friends and neighbors. Your police and firemen. They are your teachers, postmen, judges, juries, politicians, grocers...

You may as well embrace them now and save yourselves the heartache down the road of having to come to grips with it when your precious Colorado darling comes home with a California boy on her arm and says, "Daddy, I'm pregnant..."

Oh yeah... in 20 years, they'll officially change the name of the state Calirado anyway... may as well get used to it.

Favored bumper sticker in Colorado for years has been:

"Don't Californicate Colorado"

I guess, by your measure, that's a bedtime already passed

I have to admit I'm still having a difficult time ordering a Big Mac in Spanish, although I am working on it

Adding the roadsign; "Mexico City 1092 Miles" however, was unwarrented in my opinion

I can understand that

What?

Never heard of it. In fact, the statement is so laughable I'd compare it to "There are no vacation attractions in Colorado outside of the Denver sports teams."

The Lake of the Ozarks are is one of the biggest summer vacation spots in all the midwest. While I ****ing hate St.Louis you could spend a week there seeing all it has to offer.

Herman's Octoberfest is also one of the best in the country. Some of the best homebrew style beer and brats you'll ever find.

To be honest the only two towns that impressed me at all were Denver and the Winter Park area.

Mostly Denver. The other areas we stopped to eat/piss/gass up/buy beer had a very "looking down their sniffer at you because you're a tourist and they have to suffer you" kind of attitude.

I didn't see that in Denver, as much as I'd love to slam the place.

He got to Kansas and the highest spot was in some farmer's pig pen. He was having more trouble not stepping in pig crap than he had climbing a real mountain.

Now wait a minute. I know you saw a stadium full of Chiefs hat wearing fans last december. They were dancing in the isles, if I remember correctly. You might have missed it. You may have already been half naked in the parking lot. You should know however, that men in Missouri, and many other states dont like to tailgate with other men while they are naked.

You might wanna think about moving, if the hillbillies are bothering you, or if you are afraid to be seen living amongst them. You should consider yourself lucky. You said it yourself, the hillbillies are some of the richest people in your state.

Look at it this way. Real estate has to be booming.

Yeah, but it was for the tax break. Since then, they have changed the tax law. :cuss:

You notice though, in my party it was 1 girl 1 guy. You were having some sort of a sausagefest on that bus. I think I saw 1 girl and about 10-15 guys. She looked scared as hell too.

I figured you were all gay, or your women had run off with Chiefs fans.

Peep all the Kc idiots and a few others:

When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked "Hey," I announced to the technician, "it's open!" To which he replied, "I know - I already got that side." This was at the Ford dealership in Canton, Mississippi!

Eagles leave Gonzalez, Chiefs in a foul mood

By JOE POSNANSKI

Kansas City Star

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Tony Gonzalez is the Chiefs' mood ring. You can always tell how everybody feels after a Chiefs game by watching him. After big victories, Gonzalez, the Chiefs' star tight end, bounces around, smiles big, talks about how great this team could be. After hard losses, he's inconsolable. He sits with his uniform on and stares at his locker, torturing himself by going over the game play by play.

After Sunday's loss to Philadelphia, Tony Gonzalez was very, very angry.

"What did the Eagles; defense do to you?" he was asked.

"What did the defense do to me?" he asked back into the flurry of cameras and tape recorders. He gritted his teeth. "I'm not going to go there. Next question."

Oh, he was mad. The Chiefs blew an 18-point lead Sunday and were beaten 37-31. Afterward, nobody really wanted the blame. Trent Green threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown, but Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil suggested that it wasn't Green's fault. Green wouldn't talk about it. Larry Johnson fumbled late in the first half with the Chiefs up 18. Vermeil said plainly that wasn't Johnson's fault.

The offensive line allowed Green to get pummeled, but nobody really wanted to blame that on the loss of left tackle Willie Roaf. The defense allowed Philadelphia quarterback Donovan McNabb to complete 24 of his last 33 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns. That wasn't their fault either. McNabb, Vermeil said, is not a normal guy.

So there was more blocking and shifting happening after the game than there was during the game. We think the 18-point blown deficit was the largest in Chiefs history, but we don't even know that for sure. The Chiefs' public-relations department would not confirm or deny it. They do know it's the biggest comeback against the Chiefs since Carl Peterson arrived in 1989.

There was no blocking or shifting at Tony Gonzalez's locker, though. Gonzalez caught two meaningless passes for 5 yards on Sunday. His first catch came on the last play of the first half. His second came with the Chiefs out of the game.

Gonzalez was plain ticked off.

"I didn't go downfield at all," he said. "It's frustrating. I haven't even sniffed the end zone this year. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm really frustrated."

Through four games last season, Gonzalez had 18 catches for 228 yards and a touchdown. Through four games this season, he has almost as many catches -- 16 -- but for only 129 yards, and, as he mentioned, he hasn't sniffed the end zone. His longest catch of the season is 17 yards, and that was in week one .

The last two weeks, Gonzalez has 34 yards receiving.

In those two games, he has not caught a pass longer than 8 yards.

The Chiefs say this is because teams are defending Gonzalez differently this year. They are double-teaming him more. They are lining up cornerbacks on him.

"It's a lot different from last year," Green said.

Gonzalez doesn't buy it for one minute.

"I'm not pointing any fingers," he said. "But defenses are not doing anything different now than they've ever done. Yeah, they're double-teaming me. They've been double-teaming me ever since I got into this league.

Without Roaf, the Chiefs often kept Gonzalez in to pass block. On one play, they lined him up against brilliant pass rusher Jevon Kearse, which is absurd. Gonzalez was hopeless overmatched. Kearse faked him out, sprinted around him and sacked Green. Gonzalez was so overwhelmed, he could not even grab Kearse, though he tried.

Then, this is not Tony Gonzalez's game. He's not a keep-in-to-block tight end. He's one of the NFL's great weapons. He was the first tight end to catch 100 passes last year. He has scored 54 touchdowns in his career.

"I don't know what other guys are thinking about this," he says. "But I don't think we're playing the way we've played for the last few years."

He's right. For the first time in a long while, this Chiefs offense is having an identity crisis. The team has scored more points the last three years than any other team in the NFL because everybody understood their role.

Now, though, it's clear the coaches don't know how to handle this Priest Holmes-Larry Johnson tandem. As mentioned, they have not adjusted to the loss of Roaf. Green is having an awful time throwing the ball downfield.

And the best tight end in football can't get the ball.

"I'm just as fast, just as quick, just as strong," Gonzalez said. "I'm probably stronger. So what's the difference now? I don't know. But it doesn't matter to me why it's happening. I just know if it stays like this I'm going to be frustrated.

"If they're going to use me like this, then, maybe they should just move me for their own sake. I get paid too much money to not get the ball."

Tony Gonzalez was angry. All around him, people quickly dressed and got out of the locker room. Those who stuck around tried to put a happy spin on this. The team is 2-2, which is not dreadful considering that the first four teams were tough. The Chiefs played well for a long time against Philadelphia and could have won were it not for the turnovers. The season has a long way to go. And so on.

Tony Gonzalez wasn't buying any of that. Not after this game.

"I want to help this team win," he said. "If they'll let me."

--Denver is starting to impress me following their 20-7 win at Jacksonville. It was third straight victory following their opening game 34-10 flameout at Miami.

My Top 5

1. Indianapolis (4-0): The Colts have allowed two touchdowns all season, both in end-of-game garbage time when they had a big lead.

2. Cincinnati (4-0): The Bengals are 4-0 for the first time since 1988, the last time they made the Super Bowl.

3. Tampa Bay (4-0): Theyve gone 3-0 over their old foes in the NFC Central.

4. Denver (3-1): Only their third win in the state of Florida.

5. Atlanta (3-1); Philadelphia (3-1): Eagles winning at Kansas City is impressive; Falcons keep on rolling even when Michael Vick is hurt.

--Weirdest game was Philadelphias 37-31 win at Kansas City. The Chiefs were in control at 24-6 when running back Larry Johnson fumbled late in the first half, giving the Eagles a chance to score a touchdown to close the gap to 24-12 at halftime. The loss once again exposed the glaring weakness of the Chiefs--their lack of an effective passing game. Take out tight end Tony Gonzales and the Chiefs have no receivers who scare you. And quarterback Trent Green always holds the ball too long.

--I'm also down on the Chiefs dumb running back rotation plan, where Priest Holmes gets two series and Johnson one. It ignores the flow of the game and which back might be hot. On Sunday, that back was Holmes and the Chiefs stalled when Johnson went in.

Denver 20, Jacksonville 7: Winning big at home against divisional rival Kansas City in prime time made a statement. Winning on the road against a team with a strong defense made a stronger one. Jake Plummer's passing -- 136 yards and two touchdowns to Dwayne Carswell -- was efficient and effective. But for the second successive week, the Broncos controlled the game on the ground, with Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell rushing for 115 and 60 yards, respectively. If they continue to do that, they will be a force. Meanwhile, the Jaguars' Fred Taylor had only 14 yards on eight attempts. The Broncos defense also did a nice job against Byron Leftwich, who was limited to a scoring throw to Jimmy Smith and intercepted twice.

Philadelphia 37, Kansas City 31: So much for Donovan McNabb's sports hernia. So much for the Arrowhead Stadium crowd noise that was supposed to foil the Eagles' pass-happy offense. So much for the Chiefs being driven by the embarrassment of their lopsided Monday Night Football loss in Denver. The Eagles pushed aside all of those obstacles to rally from an 18-point deficit and register a win that put the rest of the league on notice that they are every bit the club that played in Super Bowl XXXIX if not better. True, they did enough stumbling and bumbling to fall into the daunting hole in the first place, but they kept attacking on offense and defense to prompt the Chiefs to do their colossal fade. McNabb threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns, and, as usual, spread the ball around to perfection. The Chiefs' once-promising defense became woeful as McNabb comfortably had his choice of receivers -- especially Terrell Owens (11 catches for 171 yards and a touchdown) and L.J. Smith (nine receptions for 67 yards and a score).

Vermeils staff gets picked apart

SoCals link: http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/sports/football/nfl/kansas_city_chiefs/12802698.htm

You could waste the better part of the day sifting through the coaching errors that turned a predictable and understandable loss to the Philadelphia Eagles into a potentially lethal blow to the Chiefs 2005 season.

Dick Vermeil and his coaching staff blew an 18-point lead, handed the Eagles a 37-31 victory and totally demoralized 78,000 fans inside Arrowhead Stadium. We will have to wait to see what impact Sundays fiasco will have on Vermeils 53 players.

The Chiefs head into their bye week 2-2, a game behind Denver in the AFC West and well behind both the Broncos and the Patriots-blasting San Diego Chargers emotionally. The Kansas City team that started so promisingly at 2-0 has now melted down in consecutive weeks, and its fair to say the problems are bigger than the absence of Willie Roaf, Eric Warfield and John Welbourn.

After Sundays game, Vermeil did his best to turn the negative outcome into a positive, littering his postgame comments with praise for the Eagles and admiration for the Chiefs effort.

For a long time I thought we played extremely well, Vermeil said. You can see why they were in the Super Bowl last year. Theyre better than we are.

The last comment might be true, but Phillys talent advantage was rendered irrelevant once the Chiefs danced to a 17-0 advantage. At home, with a full house screaming, Priest Holmes ripping off 6- and 7-yard runs consistently and the Eagles throwing on every down, its inexcusable that Philly was comfortably ahead 34-24 with 9 minutes to play.

That shouldnt happen to a good, competently coached football team. Dick Vermeil, despite the pervasive rumors, isnt Gary Pinkel. On Sunday, Vermeil was actually something much worse.

Theres just no way to pretty up what we all witnessed:

1. Vermeil and his coaching staff botched two replay challenges. The second blown challenge cost the Chiefs what could have been a critical, second-half timeout.

2. Kansas Citys zone-heavy defensive scheme allowed Terrell Owens to frolic in the secondary as unencumbered and carefree as a third-grader on recess. T.O. had 11 receptions for 171 yards and a TD.

3. The Chiefs running-back rotation left their piping-hot running back, Priest Holmes, on the sideline when they had a chance to bury the Eagles in the second quarter. Holmes had 10 carries for 60 yards on KCs first two possessions, which ended in a touchdown and a field goal. He ran the ball three times the rest of the half. Holmes, however, did have a beautiful sideline view of Larry Johnsons crucial, end-of-first-half fumble that led directly to a Philly TD.

But all of those blunders pale in comparison to the coaching error that turned a would-be rout into a loss that could haunt the Chiefs for the rest of the year.

With the Chiefs up 17-0 thanks to an 8-yard pitch-and-catch between Trent Green and Eddie Kennison, offensive coordinator Al Saunders got a tad greedy and a bit lazy midway through the second quarter. On second and 14, Saunders remembered how easily Kennison scored when the Chiefs emptied their backfield and the Eagles went man-to-man deep in the red zone.

Perched on the KC 35 40 yards removed from the red zone Saunders called for another empty-backfield set and another easy pitch to Kennison. This time Philly coach Andy Reid and his staff demonstrated why theyve been to four straight NFC championships and the Chiefs havent won a playoff game since 1993. The Eagles adjusted to KCs empty-back set and went zone. Sheldon Brown was waiting on Greens toss to Kennison. Brown jumped the route and raced 40 yards into the end zone.

The pick-6 awakened the sleep-walking Eagles to the possibility of a rally. The interception infuriated Green. As he jogged to the sideline after the interception, Green flung his right arm in disgust.

After the game, Green tried his best not to talk about the interception.

I dont want to open a can of worms, Green told me privately after a gaggle of reporters stepped away.

He said he wasnt surprised at all that the Eagles adjusted their defensive look. You expected it?

We all did, Green said.

The problem is Saunders system doesnt allow the quarterback to audible or for receivers to adjust their routes. Green and Kennison could see the zone defense and anticipate the danger, but they were powerless to do anything about it.

He cant do what Peyton Manning does at the line of scrimmage, even though (Green) could, said tight end Tony Gonzalez.

Im not making excuses for Green. But the reality is that Sheldon Brown didnt get the best of Trent Green. Andy Reids coaching staff got the best of Dick Vermeils coaching staff on a play that turned the game.

Of course, there were other breakdowns and strategy errors. Fear of Phillys pass rush eliminated Gonzalez from KCs passing attack. He caught two meaningless passes and spent a great part of the afternoon pass blocking and running hot routes in the flat.

The Chiefs would have survived all of their gaffes Johnsons fumble, Dante Halls fumble, Vermeils misuse of replay challenges, the disappearance of Holmes and Gonzalez had they not committed the original, pick-6 sin that allowed McNabb and Owens to contemplate a rally.

Defense is gone with the wind

By CANDACE BUCKNER

During a gusty Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium, winds picked up to 17 mph.

Anything light, delicate and not completely tethered down would wave and flop about.

Like those little red streamers. The American flag. Kansas Citys defense.

The high winds coming from Philadelphias offense blew through Arrowhead, making the Chiefs look flimsy in the 37-31 loss.

The home team owned the momentum and a 24-6 advantage with 4:27 remaining in the second quarter. Then, whoosh. The winds picked up.

I thought we had the game, said cornerback Dextor McCleon, who intercepted his first pass of the season Sunday. I felt we had the momentum. I felt at that point we were close to putting these guys away.

Good teams like that, you have to put them away early and not give them any hope.

Even without a steady rushing game, the NFC champs looked as good as advertised. Donovan McNabb skipped away from sacks, and Terrell Owens owned the Chiefs secondary for 11 receptions and 171 yards. From a span that began late in the second quarter into the fourth, Philly surged for 31 straight points. McNabbs 7-yard touchdown to Owens in the second quarter touched it off.

After facing the Eagles, the Chiefs pass-coverage statistics slipped to 1,093 yards and six touchdowns allowed. Three of those touchdowns were surrendered during Phillys 31-point downpour.

(Owens) was going to catch some, we knew that, he ended up catching 11 balls, Chiefs coach Dick Vermeil said. They just did a better job throwing to him than we did stopping him. We gave them too many opportunities.

The Chiefs flunked plays to the Eagles favor, including defensive end Jared Allens missed red-zone sack before a McNabb touchdown toss.

Weve got to finish, Allen said. Weve got to come out in the second half and finish games.

On a third-and-7 play, outside linebacker Kendrell Bell tipped a pass to Eagles receiver L.J. Smith for a first-down reception to the Chiefs 1.

You cant say anything about that, thats just a lucky play, safety Sammy Knight said. That was a big play.

Two plays later, Smith wouldnt need the assistance of a Chiefs lineman. McNabb faked the draw and found Smith open in the end zone for the 1-yard score and Phillys third consecutive touchdown with 8:57 remaining in the game.

They had a great game plan. They executed. We let them back in the game when we shouldve buried them in the first half, McCleon said. They got rolling, and we couldnt stop them.

I wouldn't have wanted to be in that Kansas City locker room after the Chiefs blew a 24-6 lead to Philadelphia. The Chiefs invested money and draft picks in a defense that, until Sunday, seemed vastly improved over last year's sorry lot. But Philadelphia scored on six of its last eight possessions; I'm sorry, but you don't get to the playoffs that way.

If you are playing the Chiefs you can have any match up you want when you have the ball. Cunningham and crew are too stupid to move players around to avoid mis-matches. They weren't kidding when they said they don't have weak side linebackers or strong side linebackers, just left and right. Christ, the Chiefs have played the two most dominate WR's in the game in Moss and Owens and literally they will cover them with a LB, a safety or a nickel back all day long if they line up in the slot. To think they don't move their high priced CB around to cover those guys is beyond words.

To be fair and honest here, we blew this game. Turning the ball over 4 times for 24 points is surefire way to lose, no matter how your defense is playing. You don't give the ball up that much to a good football team and expect not to get burnt.

As for our defense, it is better, howbeit it doesn't show right now. With Sims and Warfield missing it makes it worst than it would / could have been. Sims was the key to our DL, we are too weak in the front 7 now. Warfield coming back could help if he gets his act together, maybe if we could somehow find us another DT that could step it up, we improve with Barber coming back to a 3-4 with Bell inside..... Maybe.

This KC team needs to reach inside and pull out anything thay have not used to make a run for it. Personally, I'm not sure they have it in them. :undecided

Bye week? Broncos are on their minds.

Chiefs at Miami

Chiefs go to San Diego

Oakland comes to Arrowhead.

If you include the Bye week the Broncos are on the Chiefs minds the whole time. If you don't think the team hasn't circled the Broncos on their calenders you are mistaken. Believe it. There is a lot of season ahead but if the Chiefs lose to the Broncos in Arrowhead you might as well sell you Camero and move to Tennessee. It's over and the Chiefs know it.
