Woo-hoo! It's finally that time...I will be headed west from Kansas City to Denver in two more weeks...and I am still on the hunt for a job! So, if anyone knows of any opportunites...please let me know.
My degree is in Sports & Fitness Management and I am looking for something in ticketing or marketing. I have, of course, already sent my resume to every sports team out there...
Thank you & see you soon :)

Funny story. My Junior year in High School our class went on a trip to KC. We got to go see a Royals game, but we parked in the Camarohead lot. I was gonna piss on the stadium but there were way to many people around so I just started throwing things at it (rocks, bottles, etc)...regardless i got to sit on in the front seat of the bus on the 1500 mile drive back to Montana, but it was worth it.

Crush Girl, have you tried contacting the local KU alumni chapter. Denver has a robust number of Jayhawkers. My buddy's wife and her friends are all KU grads and they maintain a pretty close bond. Another friend of mine (who's a KU alum) works for the Chefs. She was a huge Bronco fan growing up but she has been lured to the dark side. All of these girls would have graduated aroun 1998-1999. Hell, you may even know some of them. Mostly Kappas.

Isn't that rhetorical when addressing us CU fans? (According to the stereotype at least)

Funny and true. I love my Nuggets Faithful brethren, but Boulder is freakin' hippie-ville. I mean, I smoke my share of the ganja @ DU, but nowhere near what the folks @ CU do.

The migration continues! I think Master Pain has hit on a very good idea. I know my University of Az Alumni club is very active out in Denver. Not uncommon for several hundred people to get together to watch a baskeball game. It offers great networking potential. I'd bet the KU group here is active as well.
I still have my ears pealed.
Congrats on the move!

If the amount of weed smoked makes you a hippie, than I'm ready for Alec to form his own country any day now.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of contacting the local alumni chapter, but I will now. I have heard there are a lot of Jayhawks out there!
Someone else asked what's taking me to Denver...well, do I really need a reason? :) No really, I spent most of my childhood out there and most of my family lives in Western Kansas...Denver is beautiful, and I'm ready for a change! Good enough reason for me :)

Good luck, CG. Don't forget CSU in FT. Collins and even AFA in the Springs. Depending on the area of town you move to, both are straight shots along I-25.

Bronx, What did she end up doing when she got to down? Blitzingdog is considering making a move to the big D for sports management or IT... something like that. I think he is curious how CG made out with her move from KC.
