Hahaha that was pretty good. Those CBS and ESPN message boards are always good for a few laughs.

As a veteran of the old Dawg Pound back when Municipal Stadium was the Browns venue, I was shocked when I moved out here and attended my first Broncos game.
I should say here that I converted to Broncomania when the Browns went away a few years ago (when they came back they just weren't my Browns anymore) and I have the utmost respect for the franchise and the fans on this board. Here's my problem: Too many gameday attendees look like they stopped by the stadium on their way to the country club.
Yes, the city of Oakland is the a-hole of the NFL and I can't imagine why anyone would ever choose to live there. But, dammit, their fans get it. They act like they are an essential part of the game. They suit up and play their part. Broncos fans do the foot stomping thing and that's great, but no one has come up with a good alter identity that translates across a large fraction of the fans here.
Browns fans have the Dawg thing going, the Raiders fans have the outlaw-motorcycle-gang-on-mescaline thing. The Pack has that silly-ass cheesehead. The Burgh has the Terrible Towel (pitifully lame, but it's at least a widely adopted prop). There's nothing like that for the Broncos' fans. The foam horse head just doesn't cut the mustard and it obstructs my view. Just take it off and leave it at home, okay?
The Raiders may be irrelevant (though improving) for now, but their fans remain a vibrant, in-your-face, freaking hoot. Good stuff.
