And another:

Broncos | Anderson Out to Prove Himself, Again
Wed, 6 Jul 2005 18:03:08 -0700

David Ramsey, of the Gazette reports Denver Broncos RB Mike Anderson (groin) is out to prove himself again in 2005. He wants to show everyone he can be the running back that rushed for close to 1,500 yards in 2000. Since then he has only rushed for 1,321 yards. Anderson feels he is the same back he has always been. The Broncos could use Anderson's return to the dashing days of yesteryear because their other running backs have some question marks. Anderson appears to be the favorite to win the starting job, at least heading into training camp. Head coach Mike Shanahan said he likes the fact that Anderson is powerful and smart. When asked about Anderson's "speed" Shanahan replied, "Oh, I don't even worry about that," he says. "How fast was Terrell Davis?" Shanahan said Anderson was on his way to being the starter in 2004 when he was injured during a preseason game. Anderson absolutely hated being on the sidelines injured last season. Anderson swears everything is fine. He's healthy, ready to forget the lost season of 2004.
