Denver's special teams are going to be great this year. That alone could mean one or two more wins.

I agree Atlas. This team seems to be fated for close games at the end of the season. We have a better chance if we can pin the other guys inside thier 20 or pick up a few extra yards on a punt return on a game winning drive.

Call me crazy but I'd love to see Ernster give him a run for his money. I like the Sauerbrun signing/trade a lot. I've made it no secret that I welcomed him on our team. That being said, the rooks personality and upside are very attractive. Ernster could end up grabbing a spot on this team as a kickoff specialist. Let him show that he can consistently get the ball into the endzone and he'll find himself on an NFL roster this season...hopefully ours!

I totally agree. When you consider those extra yards we won't have to go and the other teams will, you can see how special teams makes a difference.

He's excited about playing in Denver, helping the Broncos win a Super Bowl and setting punting records in the high altitude there

Now it would be damn nice if he did set a couple punting records this next season and atlas hit it right on the head with his comment.

I figured it out one time and it came up to about 65+ yards per game that Sauerbrun and DWilliams could give us. That's if Sauerbrun avg's 4 yards per kick more than Knorr/Baker and Williams avgs 4 yards per return more than all 15 of our return men last year.

can you imagine how dominant the Denver Defense could be with some added pressure on the offense due to good special teams? Throw in a semblance of a QB pressure and add a pinch of turnover, and that's some prime ass whuppin' pie.
