Ok - Time to stir up some trouble here.

Who is the best college QB you have ever seen. Remeber college career only, not pro.

While the single greatest performances I have seen were Elway's games against Oklahoma and Ohio State, for an entire college career, the best I have seen was Bob Griese. He was technically perfect, seldom made a mistake and was always in complete control of the game. Sometimes you wondered when watching him if the game was scripted from start to finish.

Sal Aunese- He's the best without being "the best"

How about FSU's Charlie Ward?

The greatest performance I saw was Doug Flutie on Thanksgiving 1984 against the defending natoinal champs Miami.

Ty Detmer has to be up there, those BYU teams were unstoppable.

I have the Elway vs. OSU game on VHS tape. I should get it duped on DVD and make it available to Maners. Faderproof would have a nervous breakdown watching that game and not knowing who to cheer for.

My dad has told me about the game, said it was an icnredible performance all around, but make no mistake that with Elway or not, Id be cheering for the Buckeyes.

Best college QB that I've seen was Peyton Manning(which is why I'm such a fan of his as a pro.) I still to this day say that he was robbed of the Heisman is senior year, Moss had more claim to the trophy than Woodson did.

Tommie was at his best in big games. He won two national titles and was a bounce/call away from winning a third (Fla St. 1993) where he outplayed Heisman winner Charlie Ward as a sophmore.

Sadly, I have to agree with you. That run against UF is legendary.

I need to disinfect my keyboard after typing that, I feel so dirty. (He should have been a buff, but Mac changed the O and Tommy changed his mind and went to nu. The horror)

A QB I got to see a lot of growing up that was an amazing option QB was Dee Dowis of AFA. He was one of the first 1000-1000 guys.

That play against Florida in the Fiesta Bowl was just amazing. (From were that picture was taken) It looked at least three Gators had him before he broke loose. They were a last second Bryon Bennett field goal away from winning the 1994 Orange Bowl.

I didn't know that I always thought Beau Morgan was the first AFA QB to go 1000-1000.

If he could have only beaten Florida.

REP!!

I can still hear the announcers going "How many tackles can one man break?!?" I think I'm gonna go find that old tape and watch that game again ^5

Also, I think Brook Berringer could have very well been the best had he not been behind Frazier, that boy had loads of talent and was the definition of a team player.
