I put together the all jersey number team for the Broncs. Feel free to disagree or discuss......

80 – Rod Smith (Mark Jackson a close 2nd)

Mark isn't a close second. If you want a close second, how about Rick Upchurch?

Stinky was a great lineman and all but Kyla Cole deserves 69 more.

I know you're kidding and all but I never liked Morton.......I just never cared for the guy, despite his success with the Broncos. I'm very thankful Elway took #7 and did an effective job of reducing Morton to basically a rarely mentioned footnote.

I think Jackson will have to battle it out with Upchurch for that 2nd spot.

Rod doesn't have a close 2nd.

1. Rod Smith 712 receptions, 9772 yards, 59 TDs
2. Mark Jackson 276 receptions, 4746 yards, 24 TDs
3. Rick Upchurch 267 receptions, 4369 yards, 24 TDs

Rod is definitely number #1, but you mislead the reader by not including Rick's return statistics:

Rick Upchurch 5,363 yards

Rod Smith 738 yards

Yeah, I thought about that after the fact. Even if it was just one play it put us in the Super Bowl.

If you remember right though, Broncos fans initially went out of their mind when Elway took number 7, and thought it was blasphemous. Hilarious!

I don't think that stat is very important. In fact, I don't WANT Rod Smith returning kicks. He's too valuable as a WR.

As far as importance to the team you would have to include in that stat. Rod is the undisputed #1 but Upchurch is also the undisputed Champ at #2. Not only are his recieving stats similar to Jackson but he is one of the best returners in NFL history.

Must be something about Bronco TEs, Byron Chamberlain's wife also had that same number, as did Dwayne Carswell's girlfriend. How's that restraining order coming "House?"
