No love for boxing.

I think I pressed the wrong botton. I meant Johnson in a decision. I don't like Tarver. The guy has no class. I didn't like the way he was acting before and after the second Jones fight. He acted like he was the pound for pound best. He acted like he was great. He was even talking about moving up to fight Tyson. I was happy to see him get beat by Johnson. I hope it happens again tonight.

Pretty good fight. Tarver out boxed Johnson. But I give Johnson a lot of credit for his "never say die" attitude. Many fighters would have quit, but Johnson was like Rocky in there. He kept hacking at it. But it just wasn't his night.

As for the fight next week, Mayweather was running his mouth a little too much. That skinny punk is going to be wishing he didn't say that crap. Gatti ain't no joke. It should be a great fight. This is one fight that I'll make an effort to see. I'm not spending $50, but I'll probably go to a bar, or somebody's house that has the fight.

I thought the fight was a pretty dull affair overall. I was pretty disappointed after the great fight in December. Tarver seemed to push the action and throw a lot of punches, but not much was landing.

Mayweather-Gatti should be a great fight. I'm looking forward to that one. I hope Gatti wins after all the sh*t Mayweather's been talking, but Gatti's leaky defense will likely cost him. Should be high action.

Tarver outclassed him early. Johnson landed some wicked body shots in the 5th and 6th rounds that really slowed down Tarver's offense. Johnson pressed the action in the second half and Tarver started throwing a lot of arm punches. Tarver did just enough to pull out the fight down the stretch. If he wouldn't have won the 12th round, I would have had it even.

I would love to see Arturo kick ass, but he seems tailor made for Floyd. Mayweather might be a total punk, but he rarely has a bad performance.

I thought Tarver/Johnson II was a pretty ho hum fight. The 11th round was real good, which had everyone at my house expecting the 12th round to be a great finish for Johnson. Then Tarver held on most of the round, sealing the win.

I'm still deciding if I want to buy Mayweather/Gatti or Hopkins/Taylor. I enjoyed the Mayweather/Gatti interview last night more than the Tarver/Johnson fight. The best part of the night, though, was Larry Merchant going off on Mike Tyson with his final thougts after Tarver's win.

I was kind of bummed that Tarver held so much the final round. I was hoping to see a big finish. I can't blame him, he had the fight in the bag.

I think Taylor might get Hopkins. This might be a "passing of the torch" kind of fight. Taylor, win or lose, is the future of that division.
