REDMOND, Wash. (AP) — Microsoft released three security bulletins Tuesday to fix flaws that could let an attacker take complete control over a computer system.

The "critical" security flaws, the company's highest threat level, affect Microsoft's Windows operating system.

The software maker released other patches to address less serious problems with Windows, the Exchange server system, services for the Unix operating system, Microsoft's Interactive Training software for Windows, and ISA server, a network firewall program.

Microsoft said it was rereleasing three previous security bulletins: one for Windows, one for the .NET framework, and one for an SQL server scanning tool.

Some of the flaws affect computers with operating systems dating back to Windows 98. Users who have installed Microsoft's massive security update for Windows XP, Service Pack 2, also will need to install some patches unless they've signed up for automatic updates.

Man Microsoft is just getting around to fixing these??

The only thing I worry about is, when I load these patches what NEW thing will start to get ****ed up?

I use firefox for browsing and microsoft still installed with automatic updates and have havent had a problem since installing firefox.

Firfox is great for home but for Businesses IE is only browser that Supports majority of ActiveX plugin's. I use Firfox for Mane browsing as I love that I can load tabs for mane, denverpost, rockymountainnews all at once. For work apps I have to use IE. I like the IE interface better is it cleaner & nicer Firefox looks & acts cheap. I read where IE is going to have TAB browsing in 7.0.

I like MS only because I make my living fixing their problems & installing their patches.

I just dont like MS security isses.....

I installed a Linux Ipchains firewall, put it on a Pentium 233mhz & it works just fine. Protects my DSL & allows me to do all I need to without using the crappy MS Firewall.

Not sure what you mean by looks cheap but the new IE will still be IE (security updates a regular occurence, bloated and SLOWER than FF).
