Hey guys, Dolphin fan here (obviously) just wondering on your thoughts about the first game of the season. I think it will be a good game and we have a shot at beating you if Feeley or Ferotte plays good, though I don't think they will.

Hey whats up? Miami is my surprise Wild Card pick, but I think you won't have it together enough in week 1, against what I feel is our strongest Broncos team since the superbowl, to win.

Hey not alot bro, just killing some time til my g/f comes over hehe. You guys will be very good this year, I think you will win the AFC West and at the worst finish second. Seems like everytime the phinz and broncos play it is exciting and close. Except that 35-3 playoff game. :unamused:

I think Denver wins that one by double digits.

I think Saban is a good coach but they have some improvements to make. I think they will be a scrappy, gritty team this year, good fundamentally but they dont quite have the guns yet. I hope to see Vernon Carey playing well this year.

I think the media has backed Shannahan into a corner and now it's time for him to boom or bust. Can't wait to watch the magic we're going to put on the field this season.

Miami could very easily be swept within their division by the Bills, Jets and Patriots. It probably won't happen, simply because the odds would be against it, but they're in a damn tough division.
Week 1... they have way too many questions to think they will have it all together in week 1. Let's look at their schedule:
Sep 11 Denver 1:00pm LOSS
Sep 18 @N.Y. Jets 4:15pm LOSS
Sep 25 Carolina 1:00pm QUEST
Week 4 BYE
Oct 9 @Buffalo 1:00pm LOSS
Oct 16 @Tampa Bay 1:00pm LOSS
Oct 23 Kansas City 1:00pm LOSS
Oct 30 @New Orleans 1:00pm QUEST
Nov 6 Atlanta 1:00pm LOSS
Nov 13 New England 1:00pm LOSS
Nov 20 @Cleveland 1:00pm WIN
Nov 27 @Oakland 4:05pm LOSS
Dec 4 Buffalo 1:00pm LOSS
Dec 11 @San Diego 4:15pm LOSS
Dec 18 N.Y. Jets 1:00pm LOSS
Dec 24 Tennessee 1:00pm QUEST
Jan 1 @New England 1:00pm LOSS
QUEST = questionable at this point to me.
I could easily see 12 losses here.

Remember last year when the Fins beat the Pats?

I agree, I think the Phins will be a dark horse team, with a big win streak late in the season. Like you said though, it's going to take some time to get the ball rolling.

I cant wait till January when the Broncos went 13-3, the Pats went 7-9 and the Dolphins went 9-7 and I can sit back and say, "Damn, Im good"

Well sure ... any given Sunday that can happen. But, it won't for Miami. Not with this team in 2005 with that schedule. If they break .500, I'd be shocked.
This is a team that could beat the Patriots and lose to the Browns.

I think it is very possible we will have 12 losses but I don't believe it will happen. As long as A.J. improves and Ricky returns to form (big IF's) then I see maybe 2 more wins than I list here. This is what I think...
Sep 11 Denver 1:00pm LOSS
Sep 18 @N.Y. Jets 4:15pm LOSS

9-7 and probably finish 3rd in the AFC East behind the Jets and Pats. Yep, I have no respect for the Jills :D
For you guys I see this happening...
Sep 11 @Miami WIN
Sep 18 San Diego LOSS
Sep 26 Kansas City WIN
Oct 2 @Jacksonville WIN
Oct 9 Washington WIN
Oct 16 New England LOSS
Oct 23 @NY Giants WIN
Oct 30 Philadelphia LOSS
Week 9 Bye
Nov 13 @Oakland WIN
Nov 20 NY Jets WIN
Nov 24 @Dallas WIN
Dec 4 @Kansas City WIN
Dec 11 Baltimore LOSS
Dec 17 @Buffalo WIN
Dec 24 Oakland WIN
Dec 31 @San Diego LOSS
11-5 and win the AFC West with San Diego finishing 10-6 and who cares about the Chiefs and Faders. I hate the Faders as much as you guys do and hope they finish dead last.

Change either the Tampa Bay or Carolina game to a loss, the KC game to a loss, the Chargers game to a win and one of your New England games to a win and thats the 9-7 I think you guys pull out.

I'll say we give Miami a 24-6 whooping. Maybe they're a team that can put something together late in the season, but for now they just dont' impress me. I think they'll have a 5-11 season. Titans, faiders, browns. Those like like winners. The other two wins will come as surprises. I no idea which teams, but they will be shockers.

I think the Broncos beat one of our known feared opponents in the AFC. (Ravens, Jax, or New England) but drop this game. When you have a tough schedule you pick AFC first.
The problem is Dallas has this circled on their calender probably a lot sooner than the Broncos do. I don't like this game. I say Dallas by a pair of trey's.

Yeah, we were 13-0 with three games (Giants, Dolphins, and Seahawks) left on the schedule. There was a lot of hype about the possibility of the Broncos still being undefeated going into Miami... and personally, I was glad loss #1 came at the hands of any team other than Miami. I'm trying to remember which CB got burned by Amani Toomer for the winning TD (it wasn't Gordon or Crockett, iirc...)

This will be interesting. Shanahan doesn't have a good record in Florida (ironic considering he was a Gator, but I digress). Summer in Florida sucks. Miami likes to win their season openers, and they do so a lot. We always start out strong, however, and our team is better than the Dolphins' on paper. I'm going to say it will be a close game, but we'll pull out a win.

I think Miami could give us alot of trouble down there in the heat. Until beating the Bucs, i dont think we had won a high temperature game in South Fla. in a long time for whatever reason and we barely escaped against a winless Buc team. The Dolphins came up to our place with a third of the talent we had and made us sweat till the final few minutes. Saban is a very good fundamentals coach and does a good job with his defenses. I read at LSU, they had 60 different blitz packages and 9 pass coverages with little variations for each. Im sure he will have a good plan for us, but Shanny does a very good job of game planning the first game even when he is going up against a team with a brand new staff with no prior regular season game tape to go on See Game 2 vs. Arizona in 2001 which was the Cardinals first regular season game because they had a week 1 bye. I think we will not have a problem with their offense but i think their defense will give us some problems, at least for a half or so.
