Hey everybody

Fantasy football question

We have a dynasty league and you have a team of 21 guys and every off season you can drop 3 of them and pick up 3 new guys if you want. Every third year you keep 10 of your 21 guys and redraft the other 11

Anyways, here is my dilemna

My WR are currenty

T.O., Steve Smith, Drew Bennett, Roy Williams, Koren Robinson and Reggie Williams

I have the #5 add/drop this year and was going to pick up a WR

The top 5 WR available are Donald Driver, Ronald Curry, Kevin Curtis, Randel-El, and Stokely

A guy just offered me Rod Smith for my #5 pickup

Would you guys grab Rod Smith over getting one of these younger guys?

Being a die-hard Broncos fan I'm leaning towards it

Basically my question is in your opinion how many more years do you think Rod Smith is the #1 guy? This his last year or maybe 2 to 3 more?

Thanks

im a die hard broncos fan, but smith is not a fantasy player, take stokley(as long as he has manning hes a beast) or randle-el seeing as hes the #2 guy now in pitt

I missed out last year by not excepting a trade that included Stokely. Manning used him alot. Personally I'd go that way since possibly half of Plummers throws to Smith may get picked off.... ;)

Completely agreed with Ludo. I've had Rod Smith 2 yrs in a row and he's been a disappointment (fantasy-wise). Go with Stokely.

We get to keep 12 players, and I'm not keeping Rod. We will snatch up the rookies before we go after some of those names you listed.

Rod doesn't usually get the TD's.

Rod might have 2 good years as a #1 in this offense. Rod's last great fantasy season was 2001. Last year he cracked 1,100 yards and 7 TDs... the two prior years he had 8 combined TDs.

I would pass on the trade for Rod - it's fantasy football and rule #1, never go with your heart. I think Rod is greatness, but in fantasy ... he's maybe a #2, more like a steady #3 option.

I would use your pick and take Driver over Stokely. Stokely had over 1,000 yards and 10 TDs in 20004, but prior to 2004, he never topped 400 yards or 3 TDs. I think they will again have a wide open offense, but he's the #3 or #4 option at times.

I think I would take that selection and grab Driver. Driver has had 1,000+ yards and 9 TDs in 2 of the last 3 seasons. He's the #2 option in Green Bay and was steady in 2004.

Driver is they guy I take - he's young and consistent.
