Claim: Jim Morrison is Alive and Well

Thought this was interesting...

The claim is that Jim Morrison is alive and well, and living in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon to be specific), living as a cowboy/poet. Supposedly, he faked his death and ran off to Paris, France to escape the Hollywood lifestyle, and the destructive path he was on.

Most interesting is the video near the bottom that shows a warp of "old Jim" vs. "Young Jim." There's definitely a resemblance... at least IMO.

I saw this on FARK awhile ago, and then a few days later on "A Current Affair". They were presenting all kinds of evidence that this guy is not, in fact, Jim Morrison. I can't remember what all they said, though.

If you look at the bridge of the nose on the old Jim it is wider and larger than the real Jim. I suppose age and getting punched in the nose could do that but looks like a complete joke and if it were true he wouldn't be posting a website advertising it.

You know, I love The Doors and Morrison and have debated those that hate him and them year in and year out on various threads that have popped up here over the years. As huge of a fan as I am, I never, ever entertained the notion that he faked his death to escape the Miami charges and really...I don't see how anyone really could take that whole thing seriously at all.

That's not to say that I don't think the idea of faking a death and dropping out of sight isn't a good one, I'm kinda fascinated by such stuff but (especially in these times) I think it's a feat that is damn near impossible to accomplish.

All that said, Jim's gone and I wish all these wanna be hippies and scam artists would just let him rest in peace.

Of course, it's my understanding that at his death, Jim Morrison could barely sing himself...

I personally don't see any way this could be true (Jim being alive). All accounts I've read/heard/seen had this guy on a collision course with cirrhosis of the liver.

Like everyone said, he bears very little resemblance to Morrison. As far as sounding like him, Morrison didn't have a hard voice to mimic.
